Justin Hicks + 162 JH June 10, 2020 They probably won't release information until after the fire is out and the well is brought under control. Four weeks seems a bit long of an estimate, but there could be logistics issues getting equiptment and water to the area, plus the Singapore engineers they plan to bring in aren't as well versed in well control as their American counterparts. Douglas Buckland + 6,308 June 10, 2020 4 weeks to get it under control IF a relief well is required could be under estimating things! Some articles are saying equipment failure, some are saying inadequate well control equipment. I am interested in what REALLY happened here. If anyone gets more info, please post it.
