Disgusting - I consider this guy another political dissident - he will probably get murdered in prison. I doubt the guy had any intent it was just unfortunate where he chose. Furthermore if you have been kettled by the police and there are no facilities available you are going to have to go at some point. Its either piss up a wall or into a can / bottle*.

He comes across as pretty left wing to me like Theresa Marxist May.

What's funny is I know a lot of people who wouldn't normally vote Conservative but did mainly to stop the likes of Corbyn getting in "Corbyn will wreck the economy" they said. 8 months later and we've got a destroyed economy and the kind of socialism that Corbyn could only dream of. I did warn people that voting for then wouldn't change anything because they have a track record or failure and lies. I remember the promised cap on immigration to tens of thousands by Cameron which resulted in an increase in immigration.

So here we are and with a government that seems to hate the white working class...nothing ever changes

1. Serfdom was bad and slavery was bad. I just do not like you all guys indirectly defend slavery. „ everybody was doing this”’ „their life was not that bad, not like serfs as we American take care of our belongings”. Defending slavery is just plain wrong. It is a terrible concept. The same as defending Pres Jackson.

2. I am in Warsaw at the moment. You have real problem with tagging people. I think you were born 25 years too late, you would have been a very good jihadist of senator McCarthy.

1. Talk about distortion… I've no need to "defend" slavery nor serfdom. My Irish ancestors were serfs, were starved, beaten, robbed, and suffered numerous injustices, all because Bonnie Prince Charles failed in a battle a hundred years before. Ireland was subjugated by England, speaking the native tongue (Gaelic) was punished by death. This went on for hundreds of years. Born into the worst kind of slavery, a constant boot on your neck, no advancement possible, and "indentured" by your grandparents and their parents into perpetual penury you could never earn your way out of. But don't worry, the globalists have a plan for you, to enjoy the same future. Keep supporting them.

2. Which country did Poland invade and why? And why don't you ever mention any current events in Poland? Too much trouble to Google it? Translate software having trouble with the language? Natives and visitors in other lands here give us their local flavor, but not you. Why?

Late 1800s America (reconstruction period) political cartoonists depicted Irish Americans as monkey faced terrorist rioters, socially on par with recently freed black slaves. Today, there are some Americans of Irish descent who chastise Black Lives Matters protesters as rioters. looters, and terrorists.

All true. Not to worry about the chastisement, there were Americans of Irish descent at the time who were chastising the rioting and looting. The Gangs of New York wasn't just a movie (or book). There was real history there.

Well you brought it up and it was your chart that had the C-ville rally in it as if it was some kind of defining moment and had any kind of releavance to BLM and the violent protests/looting.

I'm well aware of what happened at C-ville and a grand total of two idiots brought that flag neither of which got doxed which is interesting.

I think the meme stands, what has been going on in the last two weeks is nothing to do with C-ville

To recap: the graph was presented to counter your intuition that BLM protests will result in backlash. Polling data said "nope, public opinion trends are heading in favor of support." Then you decided to take issue with the Charlottesville data point. Now you're trying to minimize the presence of neo-Nazis carrying Nazi flags at a white nationalist rally while chanting 'blood and soil.'

When to use Godwin's Law meme,
InternetGuy 1: "You need to wear a mask if you're going to shop in Costco during the pandemic."
InternetGuy 2:  "Costco is Nazi Germany!"

When not to use Godwin's Law meme,
InternetGuy 1: "Blut und Boden! Blut und Boden! Jews will not replace us!"
InternetGuy 2: "You are a Hitler Youth Nazi douchebag."

Instant replay camera confirms referee's call, penalty stands.

No one should riot and loot during these protests. I hope those who do riot and loot get arrested and run through the criminal justice system. The problem is Trump telling his cult the BLM protests = rioting and looting and then the cult repeating their Dear Leader. Donald's cult needs to acknowledge the fact they got conned by a conman running a con and turn their critical thinking skills back on.

So why didn't you use your critical thinking skills that one white police abused of power and brutally killed a man he knew who was black doesn't represent the whole police force and the police force, in turn,  don't represent white supremacy which BLM used for justifying their protest?

If the MPD union frowns on suffocating a suspect to death why do they resist the protest cause?

Did the MPD union advocate for the brutal police who suffocated a suspect to death?

Because the looters and burners using the same reason for protest cause. Or do they have the words "looters and burners" written on their faces? Shouldn't the protesters turn on these who using their protests as shield for looting and burning? Or what if the KKK just jumped out with gun and kill the protesters? It is police duty to protect the public and private assets unless the mayors called them off. If protesters want to be separated from looters and burners, then they should cooperated with the polices stop the one using their cause at the very beginning and then keep up with the protesting. No, they were more busy confront the polices or calling defunding instead of supporting the polices for stopping their teammates who hide behind their backs and burning and looting as if they sympathized for their teammate aggressive behaviors and later on just simply denied they supported these actions.

And no matter what  BLM, antifa, burners and looters were doing, it doesn't change the cause of all of this "asking for justice":

One white police abused of power and brutally killed a man he knew who was black, which were interpreted as  represent the whole police force and the police force were interpreted as represent white supremacy. How deep thinking was that?

Watching the news in Malaysia this morning I saw where the rioters in the US were pulling down the statues of Confederate veterans, defacing historic sites (including the Lincoln Memorial), and demanding that US miliary installations named after Confederate Generals be renamed.

In other news, British protesters and rioters were pulling down statues, defacing others (including those of Winston Churchil) and demanding institutions named after Cecil Rhodes be renamed.

Slavery was a horrible institution, most agree on that.,But it needs to be seen in the historical context it existed in. Furthermore, almost every society, at some point, kept slaves (including South America, Africa and the Middle East). Slavery was NEVER a solely ‘white’ institution.

The George Floyd/police brutality/racism narrative has now been highjacked. I have never owned slaves and neither have my ancestors. By the same token, no black alive today, in the US or UK, has ever been a slave in either the UK or the US.

I refuse to buy into the white guilt or white privilege trip - I have neither. I am seeing ‘black entitlement’, which is unearned.

I am to the point where I don’t give a rat’s ass about anyone who loots, burns down residences or beats people up for no reason. This is aggrevated robbery, arson and assault. I hope these people are arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I am sick of these people trying to rewrite history because they are ‘offended’.

These rioters are entitled idiots have lost the plot and are doing more damage to their ‘cause’ than the Floyd murder created.

I have zero respect for these rioters and will not shed a tear when they get what they deserve...regardless of their skin color.

I agree To a degree but you should go on YouTube and look up John Oliver and confederacy. It is a 2017 show but explains a great deal about why those statues got erected and when.

It very much was a pro slavery, in your face, gesture. It was not about american history. It was revising history because the South gave up slaves but we're not about equality.

I agree with any union busting as I considered union are out dated, counter productivity and could not stop any outsourcing jobs,  and they always need something to do to seek attention for their existence when we have minimum wages regulation in place.  And I am not either conservative or progressive as I think both have their reason for their existence and I am my own judge matter by matter, election by election. If counting my origin maybe I am ex-Socialism we may have different vaccine in different political disease.

The world keep changing and no person or party or ideology or society gonna stay the same so I wouldn't anchor myself in anything. Any politician joined polity with a personal purpose and rarely for anyone else but themselves. You can come in as a fresh man with full of ideology and after many years come out as very corrupted politicians. Union is mostly about politics and so is BLM. Politics should never be the careers.

I do not comment made up and stupid„news” like this about invasion ( of Czech Republic last week ?).

Polish/Czech border was never guarded too much, especially in mountain areas, I remember myself crossing it in Karkonosze cause beer in mountain hut 100 meters from the border, in Czech territory was just better.

The same was in this „invasion”. During Covid Polish Army helps Border Guards in patrolling the borders to prevent movement of people that live  5 km from the border on the both sides. There is special agreement and for these people there is no border, both Czechs and Poles can move mostly freely each way.

Common soldiers were new in the area, they simply did not know where Poland ends and Czech Republic starts so they got Lost in Czech territory.

Most of the topics at this forum are not related to  current Polish situation.

Forum is frequented by Americans and British. (In the past also Rasmus was present). You have a lot of common topics.

Poland is too much off your radar and you have a  very general knowledge about the country so you simply would not understand current events.

Do I have time to explain for hours Polish specifics, flavour when it is unrelated to forum threads ? Certainly not.

And actually I do not mind your opinion that I am even the Marsian, generally I read what people write, do not profile by stereotypes.

You seem to conveniently forget the one back during the Sudetenland Anschluss, where Poland went along for the ride and gobbled up a nice chunk of Eastern Slovakia.  Always helpful to have the Nazi war machine at your back, now isn't it.  Send in the tanks and take whatever you can grab.  Just lovely.
