Hajga Loma DK + 47 HL May 2, 2018 Apparently, solar and wind industries are donating more money to Republicans than to Democrats, a marked shift from a group typically aligned with the environmental left. Reuters reported that even though the money is modest compared with that donated by fossil fuel interests, the support provides GOP candidates with added credibility on clean energy, an issue polling shows swing voters care about. John Foote + 1,135 JF August 27, 2018 The monies listed don't even count for chump change. Most industries donate to both parties. What solar needs in the states isn't subsidies, but a fair shake. Can you net meter? Most places, no. Do you have to put up big bonds to be allowed to use it? Often. Is it even legal to have your own solar. Some places, no, so, why are utilities getting these regulations put in place? Distributed power threatens the current economic model.
