jose chalhoub + 388 May 8, 2018 PETROCARIBE, a mechanism created during Chavez's heydays and which seemed to be a geopolitical tool leveraging on the use of oil to the Caribbean nations by Venezuela in order to export the socialist revolution, now is facing a slow decay. And the U.S. is ready to gain access again to a region where traditionally had influence and presence as the country ramps up its oil and gas exports. But the task wont be much easy since Russia and China are also trying to get access to this region. It will certainly be an interesting geopolitical chess in the Caribbean as PETROCARIBE dies away.
