American olds who paid into SS/M for years were not paying into a savings account. Trump is screwing over Americans who collect Social Security and Medicare because he is driven by racism rather than helping American olds with real dollars. Donald is such a prick that he can't see beyond his racism to let illegals help themselves and their families in less wealthy countries while also helping less wealthy American olds. Unfortunately, this analysis is painfully true. The migrants do pay quite a bit, measured in billions, into the Federal safety-net programs and receive nothing in return. It is actually worse than that. When the aircraft hit the World Trade Center and knocked the buildings down, it also demolished the top-floor restaurant(s) and killed dozens of migrant kitchen and serving staff. But because those people were largely undocumented, and nobody even knew who they were, the promise of the Administrator of the Federal Compensation Fund, Mr. Goldberg, that no family would receive less than one million from the Fund, rings hollow. The Mexicans and Guatemalans working there, their families received zero. On 7/23/2020 at 3:22 PM, BradleyPNW said: Why is the Republican Party shrinking? That process will take a few election cycles and result in a new portfolio of alliances. The ultimate result will be a two party system (Democrats plus a new party) where both parties are nearly indistinguishable. Then instead of complaining about political polarization people will complain that both parties are the same. It is equally likely that the same development will arrive inside the Democratic Party, which right now is riven with discord and largely taken over by the Clintonites and their remnants. Lots of Democrat voters are disenchanted with the Clintonistas and disgusted with the Clintons themselves. Although Bill Clinton seems to have developed a new image for himself as some "world statesman" and shows up in Switzerland at that World Economic Forum at Davos, where he clinks wine glasses with the upper crust, the legacy of his rudderless and unprincipled leadership remains, torturing American society and its place in the world. As for Mrs. Clinton: well, everyone other than the Clintonistas have had quite enough. But, the Democrats cannot help themselves, they will continue to run on the Clintonista banner - until others get sufficiently disgusted that they, too, develop that new "portfolio of alliances." 3

You can buy everything, but only big money can afford. Its the old european way of aristokratie, only with money now. In germany it is called a "Ständestaat", no social mobility anymore. Its very sad, because some year ago the usa have sent democracy to many other states, but lost in usa itself.

In 99% of the cases where polls, predictions, expert decisions are made, they are dead wrong. You are correct in that polls are simply a work of statistics, and statistics about what's going on politically in every house, let alone with every voting age occupant of any given house, are easily skewed and/or misrepresented. Not to mention, the size of "polls", where they are conducted, income in the area, wording of questions or the order in which questions were asked. I don't believe, in today's society with the levels of information (factual or not is also a question) available and consumed by the average citizen, that polls are even worth doing anymore. Link: National Council of Public Polls I mean the old metrics used to be pretty cut and dried: White collar or blue collar area? All voters were men. Most voters were white men. Information consumed by those men was largely from the local TV station and the local TV station would reflect heavily on the predominant local political party (Republican or Democrat). As has been pointed out in an earlier comment, most conservative and/or Republican voting citizens today will usually not participate in polls of any kind for fear of putting themselves or their family at risk of being targeted by some groupd or other, verbal or physical attack up to being beaten or killed, or ONLY losing their livelihood. Even with all of the above in mind, the left continues to tout them (polls) as gospel. Give me a break. Edited July 25, 2020 by Dan Warnick 2

Barack Obama is the most popular ex-president in the Democratic Party. Democrats just chose Obama's VP to be their 2020 candidate. They're happy with Joe. But I love Hillary Clinton. She has at least 30 IQ points on Donald. Note: *at least*, I'm being conservative. She was a great Secretary of State. Of all the examples of why Democrats are better than today's Republicans that's a huge reason to vote Dem in 2020. Most Americans agree, which is why Joe is doing so well in the national and swing state polls.
