LAOIL + 33 OS December 17, 2017 There is no stability in Libya, so talking heads and oil traders worried about Libya undermining the OPEC deal can relax. This power struggle is far from over. General Haftar has just hinted he's running for election, and has called the UN-backed government obsolete.
Kate Turlington + 44 KT December 17, 2017 Just when the head of the NOC thought he was bringing everyone together out of the goodness of his heart (and a hearty media campaign to that end). Haftar is stronger than most anticipate, and smarter. He's the only reason there's oil flowing right now, and he will definitely seek to be rewarded for that. Seleskya + 50 AS December 17, 2017 Question for the Libyan people, I guess, is whether Haftar is just another Ghaddafi...
Kate Turlington + 44 KT December 17, 2017 When there's this much oil involved, everyone is just another Ghaddafi ... question is, has anything that's come since Ghaddafi been better overall? No one wants another Ghaddafi, everyone wants to get their hands on Libya's oil. There's no good end to this story.
