Both parties are a majority "white" and racist! Will Biden, instead of being like the last better, try to coup Venezuela quietly!
Jan van Eck + 7,558 MG January 24, 2021 Oh, please. Nobody needs Venezuelan heavy crude. The stuff is basically worthless in today;s oil markets.
waltz + 140 EW January 24, 2021 A. Brdly, Lets have this discussion but before you respond take a few minutes and read the following, first link.  That Weisbrot and Sachs paper cited so often by Commondreams and the like has been thoroughly discredited.  If that is too much work for you how about looking at the second link, all you have to do is read the graph.  Remember when those sanctions were imposed?  Why was production tanking prior to that?  https://www.brookings.edu/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/impact-of-the-2017-sanctions-on-venezuela_final.pdf  https://tradingeconomics.com/venezuela/crude-oil-production  See that fall off the cliff in spring of 2019, do you have any idea what caused that?  By the way it is estimated that PDVSA (know what that stands for?) needs US $10 billion a year of investment per year for the next decade.  Look forward to your response,      waltz
Meredith Poor + 894 MP January 24, 2021 Probably the only entity with both motive and means to publish something like this is Iran. Pure disinformation campaign. A more material question is why does anyone bother to do this, at least on this forum?

waltz + 140 EW January 25, 2021 A. Brdly,  I am confused to what you are trying to imply, just say it.  Pres. Biden seems to believe that the US will no longer have a use for oil by this Thanksgiving, so why would we invade Venezuela?  Most western countries feel that the last election that they can recognized  as legitimate took place in Venezuela in 2015, what would you have them do?  I know reading a few graphs may have been too difficult but maybe you could at least answer this question.  waltz
