Vlad Kovalenko + 115 VK December 18, 2017 It is a $1 billion investment. Volkswagen wants to fully convert its manufacturing facility in Zwickau to EV production over next 5 years. Will this German automaker take up a leading position in e-mobility?
Pavel + 384 PP December 18, 2017 Thumbs up for Volkswagen. This automaker is the only one who is thinking ahead on dealer profitability around the world. Nothing will surprise them in this industry movement toward EVs.
Petar + 76 PP December 18, 2017 Volkswagen has big plans. Just last month it approved $40 billion spending plan to become a world's leader in EVs. Plans or dreams?
Pavel + 384 PP December 18, 2017 Did you just express your doubt about Volkswagen? When it comes to this company, the success is guaranteed. Plans today, done thing tomorrow.
Stephen + 67 SM December 18, 2017 So.....very....slow.... This is why we need hard targets set by policymakers. No more ICEVs allowed in this city, state, country by 2030 or 2035.

Meanwhile + 49 PT December 18, 2017 Tesla has no experience making mass production cars, which is VW's successful forte
Vlad Kovalenko + 115 VK December 18, 2017 I agree that VW has more experience in making mass production cars, but Tesla has more in making EVs. Even VW brand CEO said Tesla has abilities Volkswagen lacks
Adam Varga + 123 AV December 18, 2017 Yes but that is nothing what VW can't catch up. And after that overtake.
Pavel + 384 PP December 20, 2017 Another step forward for VW. Thanks to this company, 17 largest US cities will have 2,800 new EV charging stations by 2019.
Petar + 76 PP December 20, 2017 It seems to me like VW is trying to compensate its mistake from 2015 when this company was involved in diesel emission cheating scandal.
Adam Varga + 123 AV December 23, 2017 Yes they made a mistake but they are doing their best to make it up. One of their next challenges is motorsport. VW is working on electric Pikes Peak programe. Since World RX Global Rand American-based Global Rallycross Championship have indicated that they will introduce an electric category, VW is looking for potential RX electrification.
