But you previously stated we were already in a recession. Now you claim the recession is looming. So which is it?? You obviously do not know what you even claim to be talking about. My god your article even says the manufacturing downturn is coming to a close. How are diesel prices responding? Let's take a look. They are falling fast. And of course I will no doubt have to explain this multiple times again to your morons but diesel is traded as heating oil as it is now the same thing. Some now call it heating oil and some call it diesel. NYMEX Heating Oil Completes Transition to Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel As of yesterday, NYMEX heating oil futures and options are now ultra low sulfur diesel fuel (ULSD) futures and options. The transition is a long time in the making as the CME first announced the transition back in June of 2011. At that time, the exchange planned to delist heating oil futures and options and to replace them with ULSD futures and options. However, last May, the exchange announced that rather than delisting the heating oil contracts, they would transition the existing heating oil contracts to ULSD contracts. Jay, oil and diesel prices fluctuate wildly in the short term, do not read anything much in that. There is more recession ahead to be seen from the monetary restrictions, hold on to your floppy hat. And before I begin, let's remember why we're all here. We're all here because we made a very clear call to action, and we've been very upfront about it. And we said clearly and repeatedly that the UAE takes this task with humility, responsibility, and we fully understand the urgency behind this matter. And we're here because we very much believe and respect the science. 43% of global emissions must be reduced by 2030. That is 22 gigatons by 2030 and we need to make that happen to keep 1.5 within reach. And I have been crystal clear on the fact that that is a critical success factor if we want to keep 1.5 within reach. Let me say from the outset that everything this presidency has been working on, and continues to work on, is focused on and centered around the science." Did he say how would 43% of global emission be reduced?? Cutting size of population through breeding habits? Cutting back massive development projects? Cutting damaging impact of wild forest fire each year? Are you still thinking on "stop burning fossil fuel", " drive EV" and " plant trees" only? Ecocharger + 1,463 DL December 7, 2023 (edited) America's unquenchable thirst for oil and gasoline is causing a rapid increase in American shale oil production, the sky is the limit. Thank you, President Biden! Let's put the pedal to the floor. https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Chevron-Plans-to-Spend-14-Billion-on-Oil-and-Natural-Gas-Production-in-2024.html "Chevron will allocate $14 billion for upstream investments in 2024, the company said in a budget update that saw the total capex planned for 2024 at between $18.5 billion and $19.5 billion. That would be an 11% increase on 2023 spending, Reuters noted in a report on the news. Of the amount dedicated to upstream investment, Chevron plans to spend two-thirds on domestic projects. Of that sum, $6.5 billion will be spent on shale oil and gas, Chevron said. Almost all of that shale spending, or $5 billion, will go towards developments in the Permian." And now American oil production is skyrocketing. Looks like fossil fuels are not going away. Biden seems to love oil. And unsurprisingly provide Zero evidence to back up your claim Last year global powergen by source only 61% was from FF!!! Air pollution and accidents from fossil fuel-based energy sources lead to significant human casualties, with coal responsible for 25 deaths per terawatt-hour. Wind, solar, and nuclear energy emerge as the safest options, with fewer than 0.1 annual deaths per terawatt-hour, challenging common perceptions about the safety of nuclear energy. "Nonsense" you say lol They were on about deaths per Twh NOT Greenhouse gas here let me show you "But energy production doesn’t just lead to carbon emissions, it can also cause accidents and air pollution that have a significant toll on human life." "with coal responsible for 25 deaths per terawatt-hour." Keep promoting coal and keep promoting polluting FF that actually kill people. I feel sorry for you if you want people to continue to die! Why would you want that? Edited December 7, 2023 by Rob Plant

Please try to keep up. However from your own post, this Record deployment of wind and solar in the power sector accounted for around 84% of net electricity growth. I posted the actual numbers and FF powergen is 61% of total powergen globally bit this is reducing rapidly as you kindly pointed out in your article link.
