Even then Chamberlain remained in the British Cabinet until his death in 1941. He was not exactly a disgrace, but his weak response to international crisis created a lasting example of the wrong way to confront screwball dictators. Lastly, any infrastructure problems that could possibly happen with mass EV adoption only happens with mass EV adoption. If you are poor and have no car or drive a POS gas car you don't have to worry about where the tax dollars were spent because you contributed little to none. Secondly, the auto makers are free to charge whatever they want for anything. It is called free market capitalism. If you don't like the price don't buy it (dollar voting).
