Iran isn't stupid. It would be obliterated in 3 days or less. That isn't a war really.

It would take much more than 3 days.

The first Gulf war with Iraq over Kuwait was over 6 months.  The second war with Iraq took almost 9 years.  I know Iran is not Iraq but it is what we have to compare to.

The blue wave will now crush Trump and Vance and all Republicans.  LOL in the Trump Musk Twitter interview even Musk said C02 from the oil industry is the cause of global warming!!!!!  Drill baby drill means oil prices crash and oil companies go bankrupt.   Vote for Trump and loose all of your oil company investments.

A war with Iran is an abstraction since there are no common borders.  Israel has submarines.  They would not invade.  I suspect the US fleet is entering the area to not stop Iran but to stop Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu (the war criminal) and the far right which wants the war.  The minute he is out of power, he is in prison in Israel on the charges in Israel. Without a constant state of war Netanyahu's coalition breaks up and then it is jail time.  He can share a prison cell with Trump.

Missing: Revolution: Milestone
Feb 8, 2024  In a historic shift, China's solar and wind energy capacity is set to surpass coal by 2024, marking a green revolution.

You just never learn from reliable sources. You are just unable to state the facts.

China's energy use is primarily from coal, oil, and renewable sources:
  • Coal
In 2021, coal accounted for 60.6% of China's total energy supply, and in 2023, it was the primary energy fuel, accounting for 91.9 exajoules. Coal is also the main source of electricity in China, accounting for 62% of electricity generation in 2021. Coal is a major contributor to China's greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Oil
In 2021, oil accounted for 18.1% of China's total energy supply, and in 2023, it accounted for less than 20% of the country's total energy consumption.
    Renewable sources
In 2023, China's primary energy consumption from renewable sources was 16.1 exajoules, up from 13.4 exajoules in 2022. In the first quarter of 2023, China generated 594.7 TWh of electricity from renewable sources, which was an 11.4% increase from the previous year. This included 342.2 TWh of wind and solar power, which was a 27.8% increase from the previous year. By the end of 2023, China had a total installed electric generation capacity of 2.92 TW, with 1.26 TW coming from renewable sources.

You sleeping again???

it is 2024.....do not be so cheap and buy yourself a new Calendar

As of May 2024, coal accounted for 53% of China's power generation, which is a record low and down from 60% in May 2023. This is a significant shift away from fossil fuels, which used to account for two-thirds of China's power capacity a decade ago

Luddite............China is Not Going Back

Coal is doomed....one solar panel at a time...........

or in the case of China....1 Billion solar panels a year are being installed now

In 2023 the country increased its solar capacity by 216.9 GW

that is 216,900,000,000 watts or at 325 watts means 670 Million solar panels installed in one year

2024 1 Billion panels installed??????

Coal is doomed

ps Please help out your pal Old Dickhead as he has one of those supersized calculators and has trouble with any number over 10

China is building more coal plants but might burn less coal

Yet oil is back up again as I type this to 78.31 WTI  and Brent is 80.82...... go figure why???

That bump was rather short lived.  76.98 WTI Brent 79.88.  Price is lower than a year ago despite high inflation so the real value of oil has decreased even more than that.

New inventory numbers came out and demand is clearly down and war tensions eased.

Iraq - 46 million.

Iran is also heavily mountainous like Afghanistan.

Much of what the author wrote was from direct quotations from more knowledgeable individuals--for example, Hawk Dunlap, a well-control specialist. So, at best, your criticism is misdirected, and at worst it is completely specious.

"Oil price" does not have to mean pro-oil, it is, wait for it... about the price of oil.  You can make money going bearish on oil.

There are literally thousands of orphan wells around here.

WTI at 74.00    ....testing the last lowpoint for the year set in Feb of 2024 at $72 plus change .....big question will a floor be set at $73...with the super weak economic report out of China and the falling imports of crude into China and the peak summer driving/travel season over................... $73 will be tested very soon and if the price drops to less than $72.50 there is no stopping the fall until WTI is under 70 and Brent under $73.....

Brent is leading the charge downward tonight..............market is open in China right now and no  buyers are steeping forward to stop the decline.

last other big low in the past year WTI at 68.61 on Dec 12

The bears are taking  charge and short sellers have control of the near term market

This is even at a time when interest rates are about to drop in the US which should be bullish for crude...........US stock markets are testing new record highs............

why buy oil today when you can get it in 2025 for $5 bucks less

Crude is getting creamed by the lack of China demand....

Pesky EVs

Ecochump ???? where are you .......you keep yelling Demand is strong and getting stronger.....Pure BS

gas at the pump a gift to Harris under $3 in my hood...Inflation today in the US  ?????? the worry is deflation in the commodities sectors

Hopefully Ecochump can tell us more about the strong demand and how its is getting stronger and stronger ...ha ha ha

and WTI this morning at $71.60

next test is $70.38  which was the low on Jan 2

and the $68.61 which is the low for the past year

a full blown crash this past week right as the market goes into the weakest months of the year and China's imports of oil keeps crashing even as their GDP is up 4.5 percent in the last quarter

Pesky EVs

yet  the latest news ...yet no mention at all about the price in the story .........hard to understand how someone can broadcast Oil ticks higher as it drops over $2 a barrel in the last 24 hours. Guess some do not get up to date data or live in an alternative universe where Chinas oil demand is booming as OPEC told us for the past year.........ha ha ha

Yep, "it's over" all right - over for the chump!

Tell me how oil is not destroying the earth.  How many tons of toxic solar panels were leaked into the ocean today?

"The Sounion is carrying 150,000 tons of crude oil from Iraq. The badly damaged ship risks spilling four times as much oil as the Exxon Valdez, arguably tanker shipping's most famous casualty, potentially becoming the fifth worst oil spill of all time, according to statistics carried by the International Tanker Owners Pollution Federation (ITOPF)."

"Carrying over 1.1m barrels of oil, the FSO Safer was abandoned off Yemen's Red Sea port of Hudaydah after the civil war broke out in the country in 2015. Since then, the vessel deteriorated significantly in the absence of any servicing or maintenance, prompting fears of a major environmental disaster."

Inventory Draw Pushes Oil Up

By Irina Slav - Jul 31, 2024, 9:44 AM CDCrude oil prices today moved slightly higher, after the Energy Information Administration reported an inventory draw of 3.4 million barrels for the week to July 26.

The inventory change compared with a draw of 3.7 million barrels for the previous week, when fuel inventories also declined substantially.

For the week to July 26, the EIA estimated mixed changes in fuel inventories.

Gasoline stocks shed 3.7 million barrels in the period, with production averaging 10 million barrels daily. This compared with a stock draw of 5.6 million barrels for the previous week, when production of gasoline averaged 10.2 million barrels daily.

you're smart. Anyone can copy/paste bullshit chopped up news stories!!

Those short sellers just made almost 3.00 a bbl today. Manipulation ie:

hey dummy how is your crude trading now .......been a month since you posted your old man gibberish

Manipulation??????????

WTI 79.66    Brent 82.30   In July

is the price of oil dropping through the floor bullshit on the repeated news that Oil demand is going nowhere ........

WTI Crude 70.19 -3.36 -4.57%

Pesky EVs in China are now more than 55 percent of the new vehicle market and at the same time last month China took off the road over 500,000 clunkers.......

Today the price reflects crappy demand as demand has gone nowhere this year.....unless you believe your OPEC pals......

you can post your blips in US inventory....no one in the oil markets gave a rats ass

so where are you now....still thinking all the news around you is manipulation????? Guess you and your fellow Luddites have to cling onto some bullshit theory

Reality the Saudis, ploy to manipulate the market while demand sucks is a fools game......they are now in a dead end and have no choice but to open up the taps .....as the long game right now is Crude is oversupplied

and their recent announcement ...they threw in the towel

Crude heading toward the mid 60's

PS and the SPR.............Sleepy Joe got a great price when he sold it and filling it back in today's market...under 70 a barrel....he sure is a lot smarter than you

.........market is looking for buyers..step up and go long....you will make a fortune..ha ha ha ha
