I guess this is what the future would look like with an EV fleet, a man-made self-inflicted disaster.

https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Fire-at-Huge-California-Battery-Storage-Plant-Forces-Evacuations.html

"A fire at the Vistra battery storage plant in California, one of the largest in the world, has prompted evacuations for hundreds of people, and part of a highway was closed early on Friday.

The plant contains tens of thousands of lithium batteries, which could be difficult to put out once they catch fire."

"“There’s no way to sugar coat it. This is a disaster, is what it is,” Monterey County Supervisor Glenn Church told KSBW-TV."

Brave new world.

The revolution in energy is about to begin. All hail the Energy Freedom revolution!

President Trump will reverse the foolish and monumentally wasteful attempt by Biden & Co. to eliminate CO2 from energy supplies, a policy which served absolutely no useful purpose and devastated the U.S. national budget.

https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Trump-Prepares-to-Sign-Slew-of-Energy-Executive-Orders.html

"President-elect Donald Trump is preparing to sign a host of executive orders related to energy in the first hours after his inauguration. Bloomberg reported that Trump plans to declare a national energy emergency right after he’s sworn in as part of his plan to boost oil and gas production."

"The planned changes include...canceling the federal land and offshore oil and gas drilling bans that President Biden signed while he was in office."

"As for the emergency that Trump is reportedly preparing to declare...with such a declaration a president can “unlock special powers over the transportation of crude and use authorities to direct shifts in how electricity is generated and transmitted.”

"Trump said on the campaign trail. “We need double the energy that we already have, and it’s going to end up being more than that.”"

"Another direction of Trump’s energy policies is cutting off funding for transition technologies, including EV subsidies...The president-elect has also threatened to ban offshore wind on his first day in office. Trump has called wind power “an economic and environmental disaster.”"

Let Freedom Reign.

Believing Trump is really stupid with his track record of lies.

If you tariff Canadian energy you will have far less.

It is really funny how you mention freedom and windmill bans in the same post.

And how is your prediction of "soaring" oil prices doing? LOL.

The new administration will increase energy as a national priority, increasing demand for fossil fuels with the removal of EV promotion. There will now be freedom of choice for the purchase of fossil fuel vehicles.

"President Trump is preparing to declare a national energy emergency and issue executive orders to reverse Biden's climate policies and boost domestic energy production.

The Trump administration aims to unleash new oil and gas development on federal lands and roll back regulations on fossil fuels.

Trump's energy policies prioritize domestic production, job creation, and lower energy costs for Americans."

"Trump plans to unleash new oil and gas development on federal lands while reversing the Biden-Harris administration's de-growth climate regulations"

"The big picture is that Trump's imminent energy executive orders will reverse the Biden-Harris administration's radical de-growth climate policies. These policies have been criticized for stifling US economic growth and stoking inflation while China ascends unabated."

wow ...I do not see anything on bringing back coal fired power plants.........

in other words he sold you a line of shit in 2016 that he was the coal miners best freind

how did that work out for coal miners and coal fired power plants in the US during his first term????? love the fall from 2017 to 2020

A big turd... down over 250 million tons a year under his leadership..........

just like he laid a turd today.........Coal is toast in the US ...enjoy the reality

US Coal Production, Consumption, Exports & Imports in 2023 ...

once again you eat up his bs....how does his crap taste today???? you eat it up

and I love the....... preparing to declare a national energy emergency.....

A national emergency gives the president additional powers

In a call with reporters on Monday, a Trump administration official speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss upcoming actions said the "national energy emergency will unlock a variety of different authorities that will enable our nation to quickly build again, to produce coal and natural resources

you should buy a coal mine......you can produce coal all you want....too bad the US market is in terminal decline.........and Coal stockpiles in the US today ....record highs ......

just a big turd he laid today ............

yet there is  nothing in all of his bs of changing law on Energy as he does not have the power to change US law.......

ie the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) is the law of the land IE the Infrastructure Law that promotes solar and wind

GOP has a 2 seat majority in the House............ let me guess nothing will come out of the House on Energy ....2016 all over again

He can whine all he wants declaring that wind turbines cause cancer......ha ha ha

and dopes like yourself just eat it up

And you got a real degree in Economics????? I do not think so ..... as I think you are a fraud with barely a 6th grade education...Prove me wrong and tell us all where you got your degree from???? Top class University???????

do you use your Econ degree???? or  just a worthless piece of paper...BS in Econ ha ha ha ha

PS one has to love that he is going to promote Oil..............yet reality the world is oversupplied  ...promote more drilling......does nothing to promote consumption...... consumption has been flat/failing for over 20 years in the US and the price, when low,  never changed it $2 bucks a gallon gas did nothing to move consumption upward...Peak oil happened in the US in 2007 and has slowly been falling ever since......

U.S. oil consumption 2023 | Statista

Hey we love to see the Oil price crash.....best solution out their to crater oil production  in the US....overproduction and it will not change consumption one bit. Lets watch the oil price fall again........You think the Saudis will cut production again??????

ha ha ha .....................

Please keep eating his turds...........you seem to love them

Production of oil will remain a growing basis for the energy system going forward, as fossil fuels remain central to any expansion of renewable sources.

"Oil demand remains high despite the push for renewables, highlighting its continued importance in the global energy mix.

Gas is also a critical energy source, especially for Europe facing supply constraints.

The production of critical minerals needed for renewable technologies still relies on oil and gas, creating a complex energy landscape."

Read a best selling book on AI more than 10 years ago. Briefly:

The main self improvise AI was suspected to have depression. A phd doctor was invited to examine it owing to recent topic she shared. Remuneration was irresistible. There, she was introduced to the latest technology like virtual reality, self evolves AI etc. she also experienced courageous act amidst AI riot and later romance.

In this book, energy required by the facility was built by the owner himself.

Therefore, AI, data centers, mining, crypto mining, are not government venture but private. The companies owners should supply their own energy demanded by their venture

I agree it should be private ventures.  Fortunately, a lot of it is already privately funded (Facebook, Google) and have net zero carbon goals.  They do not want Trump's promised fossil energy.

Unfortunately, the government will say falling behind on AI tech is a national security concern and will throw money at it.

Historically, government manipulation of the private sector was considered a bad thing.  Not anymore.  The private sector owns the government.  Check out how many billionaires attended the inauguration while the dumb voters were excluded.

Here we go, the reintroduction of gasoline as a fuel of choice in America. Freedom of choice again.

https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Trump-Signs-Executive-Order-to-Unleash-American-Energy.html

"The new policy also includes the elimination of the “electric vehicle (EV) mandate” and the promotion of true consumer choice, which is essential for economic growth and innovation, by removing regulatory barriers to motor vehicle access. The measure would ensure a level regulatory playing field for consumer choice in vehicles, the Trump White House said.

Where appropriate, state emissions waivers that function to limit sales of gasoline-powered automobiles shall be eliminated. Moreover, the Administration will consider the “elimination of unfair subsidies and other ill-conceived government-imposed market distortions that favor EVs over other technologies and effectively mandate their purchase by individuals, private businesses, and government entities alike by rendering other types of vehicles unaffordable.”

Trump’s policies are also aimed at safeguarding the American people’s freedom to choose from a variety of goods and appliances, including but not limited to light bulbs, dishwashers, washing machines, gas stoves, water heaters, toilets, and shower heads, and promoting market competition and innovation within the manufacturing and appliance industries."

But if you think Trump can undo law by spewing BS .........ha ha ha ....you keep eating the crapburgers he is serving you.......

and you got a Degree from an accredited university???? I do not think so

and then you post...........Trump’s policies are also aimed at safeguarding the American people’s freedom to choose from a variety of goods and appliances, including but not limited to light bulbs, dishwashers, washing machines, gas stoves, water heaters, toilets, and shower heads

Trump is a senile old man who babbles crap out of his mouth....and the funny part is you are love to eat his crapburgers.......Low IQ base will buy into anything he spews....Too f...ing funny

Dishwashers??????? everyone is dying for ineffecient dishwashers again

Washing machines????? another line of BS out of a senile old man that craps in his pants 3 times a day...Newsflash Washing machines are not capable of removing Trumps turd stains  out of his pants...Massive shit in the pants requires new pair of pants

Feb 13, 2019  Trump typically wakes up before 6 am, sources tell Axios, and the first five hours of his mornings are devoted to “executive time.”....in other words it takes him 5 hours to get himself cleaned up after he shits his shorts in his sleep

shower heads?????  what a dope

Aug 6, 2023  Trump has been publicly complaining about water pressure since at least 2019.

Oh look, super low profit margins and lack of investors.

https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/US-Oil-and-Gas-Mergers-Forecast-to-Slow-in-2025.html

"Mergers in the US upstream oil and gas sector are expected to slow down in 2025 due to a decrease in available targets and rising break-even points.

The US oil refining sector is experiencing a stall in deal-making due to concerns about the energy transition and the high costs of maintaining aging refineries.

Several major oil companies have been forced to close refineries due to an inability to find buyers or invest in necessary upgrades."

Yeah, you lacked availability of gasoline.

What you actually want is a reduction in freedom of choice (no EVs, ban windmills, etc).  Why can I not choose to buy wind power?  Do not cite any environmental or health concerns as we know oil causes more catastrophic disasters then any windmill ever could.  Oil also is known to contain carcinogens.

@Old-Ruffneck what part of that post did you disagree with for the down vote?

Did you think gasoline was ever restricted and he needed freedom to buy gasoline?

Do you disagree that a ban on windmills is a reduction of freedom?  Why can't I have windmills?

Do you think a windmill related problem could ever match the epic disasters oil has produced (too numerous to count, and you know they exist)?

Do you deny oil contains benzene - a known carcinogen?

These are all simple questions you could answer. Everything in my post was factual.

The Trump effect on oil prices has been overrated. Expect prices to firm.

Further, with the rejuvenation of fossil fuel vehicles in major markets, gasoline demand should increase as more sensible and reasonable policies on personal transportation become apparent.

https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Oil-Analysts-Divided-on-Trumps-Impact-on-Oil-Prices.html

"However, commodity experts at Standard Chartered have predicted that the strength in oil markets witnessed at the start of the new year is likely to persist, powered by, among other things, the removal of more Russian barrels from the market following sanctions. According to StanChart, the new restrictions roughly triple the number of directly sanctioned Russian crude oil tankers, enough to affect around 900,000 barrels per day (bpd). Whereas it’s highly likely that Russia will try to circumvent the sanctions by employing even more shadow fleet tankers and ship-to-ship transfers, StanChart sees 500,000 bpd of displacements over the next six months.

Other than the sanctions, StanChart says there are other reasons for the strength in prompt markets: OPEC+ has largely stuck to its target quotas; non-weather-related demand is more robust than consensus expected; and non-OPEC supply growth is coming in lower-than-expected. In short, StanChart says the market strength is likely to persist after weather patterns return to seasonal averages. Last month, commodity analysts at Standard Chartered argued that the latest decision by OPEC+ to delay the planned output increase by three months to April 2025, and extend the full unwind of production cuts by a year until the end of 2026 will ensure that oil markets are not oversupplied in 2025. "

Expect prices to firm....ha ha ha ...yeah at Less than $60 a barrel

overproduction is the rule in gasoline at refineries today ...this is caused by the China EV market taken over in new vehicle sales ......Demand for gasoline in China peaked in 2023 the same for Crude.

People are not going to go out of their ways to drive around the block multiple times to take advantage of cheap gasoline....they just take the savings and spend it on fun things.....like buying food or paying rent

and it is all based on sensible and reasonable policies on personal transportation ?????? yep . And the clear choice is to buy new fuel efficent cars........and trashing their clunkers . And in China the majority choose  EVs....First of all electricity in China everywhere is at a set price  7.8 cents per KWH and the fact that EVs and plug in hyrbid cars are now cheaper to buy than ICE vehicles............and much cheaper to run than clunkers.

Expect prices to firm in oil???? yep at $60 a barrel......it is a race to the bottom when Trump declares he wants overproduction of oil....which will cause a global production war. The cheaper the price of oil the more an individual oil company has to produce to maintain the same revenue. And you got an Econ degree ??????.Do you understand when overproduction takes root in a stagnant market???? Welcome to oil in 2024 and 2025. The Saudis holding back production will only last so long.......They will throw in the towel and open the taps in 2025

Game on

The anti-CO2 bankers conventions are falling apart, and full financing for the oil sector should soon return.

https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/Banks-Ditch-Net-Zero-as-Climate-Alliances-Crumble.html

"Major US and Canadian banks have withdrawn from the Net-Zero Banking Alliance following pressure from Republican-led states and the election of President Trump.

BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, has also left the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative due to legal concerns and confusion surrounding its practices.

European banks are reevaluating their participation in net-zero alliances, and the future of climate finance initiatives is uncertain."

"Some of Europe’s biggest banks are rethinking their membership and involvement in net-zero initiatives as Donald Trump returns to office and Republican-led U.S. states are going after “woke capital.” This, they say, discriminates against America’s oil, gas, and coal industry by committing to net-zero portfolios and adopting principles that could reduce financing for fossil fuel projects.

Since early December, the biggest U.S. banks – Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, and JP Morgan – have all quit the NZBA. "

"At the end of November, a group of Republican states led by Texas sued BlackRock and fellow asset managers Vanguard and State Street for alleged violation of antitrust laws. The states allege that the asset managers have been pressuring coal firms to lower output to cut emissions, thus driving up electricity prices in America.

Since leaving the net-zero asset managers’ alliance, BlackRock has reached a settlement with the state of Tennessee, which had sued the world’s biggest asset manager for misleading consumers regarding the role of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors in its investment practices. The settlement concluded a lawsuit filed by the State of Tennessee under the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). "

Do you deny oil contains benzene - a known carcinogen?

These are all simple questions you could answer. Everything in my post was factual.

Where is benzene found in everyday life?
Among smokers, 90 percent of benzene exposures come from smoking. Benzene may also be found in glues, adhesives, cleaning products, and paint strippers. Outdoor air contains low levels of benzene from secondhand tobacco smoke, gasoline fumes, motor vehicle exhaust, and industrial emissions.Aug 6, 2024                                                                             Benzene - Cancer-Causing Substances - NCIYch

I don't suggest you run your car in a garage with the door down for more than a minute or two, but benzene is in alot of products and you're bitch' about one product..

Windmills kill birds, and bats, and are Gawd awful eye pollution. The windmill projects where I live are going bye-bye. Even the socialists don't want them by their houses.
Your arguments about benzene are laughable. You cook with electricity or heat your home only with electric? Natural gas and propane open flames produce benzene, is why you should run the overhead stove fan so the pollutants go outside to disperse.
You post alot of opinions from just your point of view. More toxins from wildfires in California put out more toxins than all the cars in the world would in 3 years minimum. I feel bad for those folks but build fire zones or in hurricane ally and my level of sympathy drops to near zero.

I don't smoke, nor huff glue, or use solvents in closed spaces.. Furthermore, no commercial products contain benzene anymore, toluene has almost the same properties as benzene but is much less carcinogenic.

You point out yourself : "benzene from secondhand tobacco smoke, gasoline fumes, motor vehicle exhaust, and industrial emissions."

Did you not notice the gasoline fumes, motor vehicle exhaust part of your quote?  You are strengthening my argument.

As for bird deaths have you never seen oiled birds?  They most often die. If you really hate bird death getting rid of house cats would do far more.

Windmills can be unsightly but so are oil wells, and oil spills, explosions, and all that.

Wildfires are not something I can directly control. They will also probably get worse due to - you guessed climate change from fossil fuels!

The logic of "some other thing is bad so what I'm doing here is fine" is garbage.  Could you justify "minor" sexual assault like groping because someone in China raped a child?  You guys use that crap logic all the time -  "but, but India and China are doing it!"

I heat my homes with natural gas and use electric heat for cooking.  Natural gas burns very cleanly in our brand new furnace, and we have this thing called a chimney that prevents the exhaust from entering our home.

The goal is total elimination.
