Shell Trying to Sell Gas as Clean

So, Shell's offering gas packages including carbon credits to win the hearts and minds of the greener among its buyers. I like Shell, in a way, and I like the way they're approaching the whole renewable thing but this is starting to sound like e-cigarettes, honestly. Which is not necessarily wrong. Actually, I'm thinking it may be quite good.

Dit you notice the 3 oil majors appearing in the article (Shell, BP and Total) are same as the three appearing in my recent post on the oil majors investing in EV technology ?

And also the fact they are european oil companies.

I'm asking how this emerging divide between european and american oil majors reguarding renewables and EV's will evolve in the future and how it will impact their fate in a changing world.
