Proper management is irrelevant, because no one trusts the industry to do it properly and no one wants their state to be known as the nuclear dump site. Letting it sit in the cooling ponds looks to be working just fine. Every community that benefited from the nuclear power is now also burdened with the waste in the same proportion. What about Yucca Flats which is already built?

Did anyone actually benefit from the nuclear plants? The customers ended up paying more than was promised and then ended up paying to subsidize old nuclear plants and then pay to decommision them and guard the nuclear waste often letting the plant stand when dead. The costs will never stop.

I just watched an old movie called Tulsa. It was about the need for best practices for conservation while drilling for oil in Oklahoma. it was made in 1949. It is worth watching for historical reference and features Chill Wills, Susan Hayward and Robert Preston. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulsa_(film)

There is a really good program on Youtube that I can't find after my 8th eye surgery. NASA has done some high altitude geophysical work using adapted U-2's/ER-2'shttps://www.nasa.gov/centers/armstrong/news/FactSheets/FS-046-DFRC.html with AVARIS to study deep rock formations in the Great Basin at depths and conditions where regular seismic does not work. They found volcanic rock and faults from the subduction of the Pacific plate under the Sierra Nevada mountains. Regular seismic did not find these. Technology changes what we know.

The best areas for solar don't grow anything but oil wells. That is why you do it on the NM side of the PermianBasin. Only two owners New Mexico and Dept. of Interior. You do have to be careful with the rattlesnakes.

Not sure what planet you are on but read this: https://gohaynesvilleshale.com/profiles/blogs/limitations-on-the-mineral Limitations on the Mineral Estate's Use of the Surface (Texas Law). Oil wells interfere with center pivot irrigation systems. Boone Pickens had to dig pits for his wells once because the irrigation system was there first. Pollution alone and it’s affects on health and healthcare costs make FF long term investment in 40 year investment sketchy. People just are not woke to how much pollution destroys the quality of life in hundreds of millions. What is your definition of "pollution"? There is very little, almost nothing, in the way of toxic emissions coming out of pipelines going forward.
