Recommended Posts

Trade amongst countries is necessary for the efficient allocation of natural resources! Anybody who understands economics knows this is a disaster that hurts everyone, and bully tactics are not going to go over well with U.S. allies.

Protectionist policies also mean that tariffs on American goods rise. What this all means is higher costs for everyone.

Generally, this "Trade World War"  is going to hurt the economy, not help it. And that’s way how to start a recession.

Yep. Trade wars start recessions. Costs of goods go up, less people buy them, thus driving the costs up even more so the companies can try to stay in business. People lose jobs, less purchasing occurs even more. I was not a business major, but I think that’s how it works.

There are no winners in a trade war. Each countries economy suffers and ultimately consumers pay the price.
