Here we go again!: two main car manufacturers got fined for collusion

The two European car giants have been fined by the European Union for colluding to curb the use of emissions-cleaning technology and violating its competition rules. German automakers Volkswagen and BMW are at the centre of the latest scandel in their collective march towards the ultimate green goal.

One interesting side-effect: the fudged numbers from this cheating were later used in several of the comparison reports of ICE versus EV CO2 contributions. When you use the actual numbers, the tradeoffs are even more favorable for the EVs.
