hemanthaa@mail.com + 64 September 14, 2021 Norway, the Scandinavian nation with an enviable sovereign wealth fund over $1.4 trillion thanks to its fossil fuel exports, has elected a Left-leaning government, policies of which can make a lasting impact on the very sector in the coming months. Since both side of the political divide focused their attention on need of expanding the renewables in the run up to the elections, the newly elected government will not be able to wriggle out of the policy that is inextricably linked to Norway’s economy. They will substitute electricity exports in the future for oil exports. And you are worried about a left leaning government? If you own a cow in Norway , by right you can leave your job to go home and milk it everyday. Norway, one of the few countries which invested part of its oil bonanza in a SWF, instead of sp**king it up the wall. Assume a 3% dividend on that fund and it delivers $7700 per head of population per year.
