Sebastian Meana + 278 September 30, 2021 (edited) At this point the European union is pathetic beyond belief. Europe already burned their money pit into renewable energy and social welfare, if they run out of exports, AKA other people's money they are fucked It was eventually going to happen, i mean all countries in Europe have declined since 2007, Greece in Particular lost like 55% of its GDP when you inflation adjust it. If you have cheap electricity, cheap gasoline, cheap heating, the cost of living decreases, when the cost of living decreases people has more money to save which can be used to either invest and increase the production of a country or to spend it in stuff they want, which increases the production of goods and services of a country. And if you have cheap energy you can produce a lot of stuff and make money that wouldn't be possible if energy was more expensive, everything heavy industry related, incluiding recycling. And viceversa, if you have expensive energy you undo all those things and go in reverse, you maybe able to keep gdp with higher energy prices by increasing energy efficiency, more efficient factories, steel mills, processing anything, but you will get bulldozed by the countries that adopt energy efficient tech, and have cheaper energy, if they have the capital for it. And if you export 50% of your economy because your people cant afford it or will not buy it for whatever reason, you will get at the mercy of other countries leverage. Case in point Mercedes, Audi, BMW must sell and do sell most of their V8 twinturbo Gas guzzler outside Germany, and outside the EU, because even if germans can buy them gasoline in germany is expensive, because is 70% taxes. Oh and do work on your math, try that percentage calculation again. Then we can discuss market segments, your twin turbo V8s were a small fraction of the market to start with and Tesla destroyed them, and what are the overall numbers are going to look like as Tesla Berlin comes online in a month? Tesla's have been blowing Vipers away since 2013. Try again. https://youtu.be/VLCdP6sMN9k Edited October 1, 2021 by Jay McKinsey

The real problem seems to be that Russia suddenly started limiting gas supplies through the existing pipeline, at a time when demand was increasing, for various reasons, but no-one has a clear explanation as to why. The Russians have not given a clear explanation either. There are various theories including that the Russians want to push for the opening of a second pipeline which bypasses the Ukraine and Poland, but anyway it is odd that no-one seems to know. What be said is that the problem was made worse for a time by a lack of wind and that there are active impediments to developing other sources of gas in Europe. Priority clients have a longterm contract Germany, Italy, Turkey, France, Hungary and other Balkan Countries. There is another Pipeline Turkstream and Balkanstream to Hungary and those Countries got an initial load of Gas before 1.10.21 when the regular flow starts. (last 5 Months) The second issue in UK is missing redundancy for Power 40% produced with Gas. Missing Pipeline to France the same with Powerline and Transformer Station. 90% of the UK issues are planning mistakes by their inferior Government.
