Texas gas flaring draws lawsuit from pipeline company

https://www.adn.com/nation-world/2019/12/30/texas-gas-flaring-draws-lawsuit-from-pipeline-company/

Irony is New Mexico won't let oil production start until there is a gas gathering hook up to the well  if the well in  the Permian or San Juan or the Jicarilla Apache reservation.   Only exceptions are where the crude oil must be trucked to a terminal because there is no crude gathering line.

Hillary Clinton and Democrats settle Steele dossier electoral case for $113,000

The Steele dossier was a report compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele and financed by Democrats that included salacious allegations about Trump’s conduct in Russia and allegations about ties between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Documents have shown the FBI invested significant resources attempting to corroborate the dossier and relied substantially on it to obtain surveillance warrants targeting former Trump campaign aide Carter Page.

But the dossier has been largely discredited since its publication, with core aspects of the material exposed as unsupported and unproven rumors. A special counsel assigned to investigate the origins of the Trump-Russia probe charged one of Steele’s sources with lying to the FBI and charged a cybersecurity lawyer who worked for Clinton’s campaign with lying to the FBI during a 2016 meeting in which he relayed concerns about the Russia-based Alfa Bank.

Trump, who has railed against the dossier for years, released a statement celebrating the agreement and once again slamming the dossier as “a Hoax funded by the DNC and the Clinton Campaign.”

Gas Flaring: Why does it happen and what can stop it?

Ron, as i explained long ago, when we were drilling and before the well was completed (albeit circa 35 years ago) we had flares burning 24/7 for the reason of gas kicks, or H2S gas which is extremely deadly, said kick or noxious gas' would get sent to the flare and burned off instead of killing everyone on location. The flares still burn in West Texas and S.E. New Mexico for those reasons. Now they use propane and smaller blue flame, unlike natural gas pre-processed used back in time which was yellow/orange and bigger flames. I cannot speak for Saudi or Russian wells but most likely they haven't adapted to newer cleaner "burns" or Flares as you are referring. My 2 pennies.

How to stop it? I suppose quit drilling. Once a pumpjack is in place and pumping some residual gas comes with the oil. Some wells have alot of NG and no pipeline to carry away the excess, and is flared. The cost of running specific gas lines could be more costly than the gas is worth. West Texas and the Permian as whole is a very large land area. Remember, it's all about money!!

https://youtu.be/e67PdS1KFl0   In this video you'll see unlit and lit flares side by side. Obviously the one smoking is lit but not a good fire. If there is smoke there is fire. Looks like a collection location and compressor station but helicopter no pan out far enough to see well.

I still say that the natural gas can usually be used on site. There are plenty of ways to accomplish that. It needs to be cleaned up, but that is not rocket science.

Washington Post calls for media ‘reckoning’ on ‘accurate and relevant’ Hunter Biden stories

The editorial board of The Washington Post is arguing the press and major social media platforms can learn a lesson from how allegations of corruption against President Biden’s son Hunter Biden were treated when they first surfaced weeks before the 2020 election.

“For now, what’s more compelling than the assorted accusations about the Bidens’ behavior is this question: Why is confirmation of a story that first surfaced in the fall of 2020 emerging only now?” the Post said in an editorial published on Sunday. “When the New York Post published its blockbuster exclusive on the contents of a laptop said to have been abandoned at a Delaware repair shop by Hunter Biden, mainstream media organizations balked at running with the same narrative.”

There is a real tangled trail on the laptop and Gaetz 's copy is not admissible IN Court as evidence because it is not the original hard drive.  Two the repair shop broke the chain of custody as you cannot prove the original drive was not tampered with. Since Gaetz produced a copy  the original has been tampered with by Gaetz or someone at his direction. .

This is the "chain of custody," and it's especially important when exhibits have been altered in some way or tested prior to trial."https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/what-chain-custody.html

Here are the rules:

Chain of Custody
  1. Chain of custody is the preservation by successive custodians of the evidence of a crime or any relevant writing in its original condition. Documents or other physical objects may be the instruments used to commit a crime and are generally admissible as such. However, the trial judge must be satisfied that the writing or other physical object is in the same condition as when the crime was committed.

  • In financial investigations, it may be months or years between the time the evidence is obtained and judicial proceedings. During this time, the documents or other physical objects may have been transferred between two or more special agents or several different special agents may have accessed the original evidence. In order for documents or other physical objects to be admissible as evidence, it is necessary to prove the items are in the same condition as when they were seized, since failure to maintain the evidence in its original condition could jeopardize admissibility.

  • The custody and storage of seized computers requires additional precautions. The investigating special agent along with the CIS are both responsible to see that the following is maintained in relation to computers:

    • Maintain the chain of custody.

    • Maintain the integrity of the evidence.

    • Follow court ordered segregation plans.

    • Document examinations of the computer.

    • Return seized items as quickly as possible (if applicable). Obtain a receipt for returned items.

    • Mr. Gaetz's obtaining a copy screwed everything up.

And then there was this incredible exchange between President Trump and CBS’s Lesley Stahl during a contentious “60 Minutes” interview regarding the anchor’s refusal to broach the Hunter Biden story:

“This is the most important issue in the country right now?” Stahl condescendingly asked Trump when he broached Hunter’s laptop.

“It’s a very important issue to find out whether a man’s corrupt who’s running for president, who’s accepted money from China, and Ukraine, and from Russia,” Trump replied. “Take a look at what’s going on, Leslie, and you say that shouldn’t be discussed? I think it’s one of the biggest scandals I’ve ever seen, and you don’t cover it.”

“Well, because it can’t be verified,” Stahl retorted. “I’m telling you —”

“Of course it can be verified,” Trump retorted. “Excuse me, Lesley, they found a laptop.”

“It can’t be verified,” Stahl repeated.

It couldn’t be verified back then, of course, because almost no outlets bothered to use their resources to verify it.

Khruschev made sure that his homeland in Ukraine was given autonomy while he was in power.

I think that he caused the Cuban Missile Crisis and possibly ordered the assassination of President Kennedy. Either of those actions may have led to his demise as the Russian leader. We may have avoided a nuclear war because he was deposed. I remember him beating on the United Nations lectern with his shoe. He was quite unhinged and threatening. I went into the army at that time and was assigned to Fort Jackson, South Carolina where Cubans were being trained for an invasion. Kennedy wisely or unwisely stopped the invasion of Cuba that was planned by the CIA. They are also suspects in the Kennedy assassination. The Bay of Pigs was a fiasco. Some say that was due to air support that was stopped by Kennedy when he found out about their plan. Not sure about the details.

Kennedy was killed shortly after I was sent to Germany, near Frankfurt. I was discharged in August 1965 as the Vietnam "Conflict" heated up and helicopter pilot warrant officer positions were offered before that. I was in Bad Kreuznach which was home to Rose Barracks which was an armored infantry base. I was in a field medical clearing company that was air mobile with a helicopter company attached. We were attached to a physical hospital that was formerly a German hospital.

Speaking to how to respond, it seems the progressive movement is trying to thread the needle..Have a read, it brings a smile to my face. Notice they they update the story, not in black&white print mind you..But a video. It would seem they are at a loss for words moment.

"How should we think about the curious case of Hunter Biden?"

Absolutely Priceless!

How should we think about the curious case of Hunter Biden?

This Hunter Biden deal in a foreign country really does look bad

We should require all candidates for high office to report their foreign financial interests and those of their immediate family members

If China was targeting Hunter Biden, he wasn’t the only one in its sights.

Yeah, "we" need to talk about it in a non partisan way like the mainstream media talked about Trump and his relatively minor issues! HA HA HA! Time to face the music for the mainstream media and all of its followers. Many people knew about the Biden Crime Family before the election but were almost totally censored. One blockbuster book was censored but the President himself was maligned for four years with false accusations and still is. We need to now go for the throat and that includes RINOS that can be replaced with a good candidate.

My new gerrymandered district Illinois 15 congressional district is working to replace RINO Rodney Davis with a true Trump endorsed candidate Mary Miller who is a good friend of Marjorie Taylor Green who is an outcast to the RINO House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. The RINO Senate leader  Mitch McConnell needs to be voted out by his fellow Republican senators after the next election.

The leftist Democrat party is doing the best it can to destroy itself. It is unintentional, but they can't resist the falsely perceived chance to go full on socialist by bringing in a maximum number of illegal immigrants which is also unconstitutional. The RINOS are complicit because they want cheap labor for their big donors. The Democrats are also doing their best to destroy our economy by spending money like drunken sailors. Their hidden goal is to destroy the middle class. Gasoline prices, food prices and all inflation will bring out a huge number of voters in November. Many Democrats are retiring rather than face the humiliation that is coming.

One nice thing is that young people with any sense will learn to avoid becoming mindless liberals.
