Tesla's “kid-size submarine” Could Help With The Cave Rescue Operation Underway In Thailand

(edited)

The billionaire entrepreneur and engineers at his private spaceflight company SpaceX have designed a “kid-size submarine” that they say could help with a harrowing rescue operation underway to retrieve a group of boys trapped in a flooded cave in Thailand. And it's already on its way. On Monday, Musk shared photos and videos of the rescue pod on Twitter, including footage of engineers testing the device in a pool in Los Angeles and maneuvering the metallic pod through a simulated narrow passageway underwater.

It's a great idea. But, that doesn't look like it would go through that cave system especially as some parts won't take a man and an oxygen tank!

They're already rescuing the kids with  no help from Elon. Cool of him and his team.

I wonder... did they check the profile of the cave?

As they've already got 8 of the 12 out of the cave I think you can save money posting this out to Thailand. Good idea nonetheless.
