A New Challenges for Electric Vehicles in Evacuation

Government at any level leaves EVs out of disaster planning. This could cause big problems in case of evacuation with already existing infrastructure challenges.

I suppose that evacuation with EVs and with the current infrastructure would be very difficult. If we add to all of this a fact that all EVs don't accept the same chargers, than we would have an evacuation chaos.

Well that is definitely something that should be on a list of priorities for the government. Especially with estimate of 1 million EVs on US roads by 2020 and currently only around 16,000 public charging stations with around 42,000 outlets. Not enough, not even close.
