Marina Schwarz + 1,576 August 7, 2018 The API\s New York head has lashed out at the New York governor for siding with environmental extremists at the expense of the poorest members of the community. it seems there is a very good reason for such a lash-out given the bills New Yorkers pay for electricity.
John Foote + 1,135 JF August 7, 2018 New York, it's a hell of a state. Corruption in the processes including convictions concerning the plant mentioned. Although the monies was to get it through. Supposed to be state-of-the-art CCGT. There is more in this pile that meets the eye. Shame, CCGT is a good way to go. I suppose the cynic in me thinks they didn't manage enough high paying ghost jobs. Natural gas is overall embraced in NY, the number one source even without this plant which has to come on line when the nukes go offline, so we are missing something in the story. TomTom + 183 September 12, 2018 Even someone like Cuomo understands that cheap energy is crucial... but appealing to environmentalists comes at a price... especially as nuclear reactors shut down in anticipation of hurricane Florence.

It is utter and outright hypocrisy.. how does his house and Gov. Mansion and office get heated and cooled? is there a segregated power line that brings his electricity from Wind and Solar powered generation plants? or they get sent to him directly on a magic carpet? Oh does NY has a ban on landfills?releasing how many tons of CO2/pa? No hydro-fracturing in NY and no natgas pipelines to be built to bring the natgas from PA & WV & OH, but if its there they will use all the natgas produced electricity!! people going to protest drilling, pipelines , refineries and petchem plants while flying around in their jets and being driven around in limos, while using and living the luxurious life made possible by hydrocarbons..... carbon molecules!!!
