US Hurricane season in 2022 and oil supply woes

As a meaningful - and sustainable - boost to the global oil output does not appear to be on the horizon, despite the optimistic, political rhetoric, the tail end of the hurricane season in the Atlantic adds yet another dimension to the existing crisis. 

As the above image, taken on September 5 from a pretty reliable model, implies, there are a few storm formations in the region that one of which may  grow into a significant weather event in the coming weeks; a development of this kind could potentially disrupt the oil supply from the refineries along the Gulf coast, as happened in the last year.
