Turkey has put Qatar in the corner effectively saying Qatar's regime is a puppet of Turkey. Qatar's regime has three options: concede to Turkey and become a Turkish colony, call Iran to rescue and do what ever possible to mend ties with GCC.

In my opinion, in this situation it's not question about Sunni or Shia , it's about strategy control of a key global rout. Don't forget that Turkey  has control of the Red Sea.

Erdogan is so full of it. Overstepping in a major way here. He's not coming out victorious on his energy hub dreams, and once again, he thinks he's more powerful in the Middle East than he is. Qatar shares the biggest natural gas field in the world with Iran (South Pars). Turkey has pretty much nothing.
