Replacing cows with 'fermented' milk and 'lab grown meat' would essentially eliminate need for as much as 1/4th of US agricultural land in the 48 contiguous states - roughly 640 million acres or 1 million square miles

Lab grown synthetic foods (e.g. MILK), like GMOs, like water fluoridation, like so many other "agendas", are not in the best interest of humanity's health nor the planet.  For example:  Informed people know that raw milk is much, much healthier than normal store-bought milk.  Raw milk doesn't undergo pasteurization and homogenization.  Synthetic milk takes things to a whole new level of de-humanizing, denaturalization insanity, especially with some companies promising "fake mother's breast milk". 

I can cite countless times that Federal Agencies have deceived Americans which resulted in injury or death.

So at what point does a Federal Agency have anything to do with this? 'Fermented Milk' is being pursued by private companies. The original story I quoted was coming out of an Australian news source. Supposedly Federal Agencies will regulate this product as it becomes available (FDA has been around a long time). Is the US Federal Government supposed to stop this?

There could be other things that are more damaging and in need of remediation quickly than worrying about cows farting in natural grazing land or occupying prescious space.

 

1. Wild fire

One year alone loses > 50 million acres.... Something to ponder about and act quickly.

 

2. Massive urbanization

For example, Singapore and most developed countries.

~ or > 80% of total land mass is used for housing e.g. residential, commercial, open space etc.

Developing countries are trying their best to catch up with it.

What if, this trend is reconsidered?

 

3. Agricultural land is necessary to provide food. The focal point should probably be on management of the size to reduce possible negative impact from climate change. In other words, make it more sustainable.

For examples,

a) having trees to divide a very big field. Shall disease strikes, parcels or fields are protected with these separators. 

b) Or shall temperature is going too high, these trees would be mediating the heat.

c) Or, shall sufficient trees are planted or preserved around the farm land, water catchment area can be created to ensure minimal impact during draught etc...

Fruit trees are good. Second income shall plenty, or natural fertilizer shall let waste. 

Bamboo. Fast to grow, minimal effort to care. Potential building material.
