I don't know, they aren't after a week, talking about it in the news.

That is one helluva blow-out. While some may think and say it's the worst pollution and ban oil. They are the ignorant ones. How is oil made? If you don't know the answer then do some research. Don't pole vault over mouse turds.

oh my how much oil was spilled as a result??????

guess the old Luddite  has to cling onto something , such as a burning EV photo, and at the same time his selective memory blocks out the reality of what oil does to nature, the planet as a whole and to everyone's health. Now I hope he appreciates the photo you posted...........it should be the number one reason in everyone's mind on why reducing the use of oil is a good thing.

Posting ignorant comments just shows your intelligence and how low your IQ really is.

If EV sales are collapsing so bad, how come Uncle Sam has to slap a 100% tariff on them?

Tariffs reduce sales, if no American wanted to buy foreign made EVs there would be no reason to put a tariff on them.

It's protectionism of US vehicle manufactures at the expense of the average Joe who has to pay double for a cheap EV.  Simple.

Except the average Joseph (like you and I) do not even own an EV.

And will not own one now, for sure.

Where is that lady to answer our concerns about this? She got off lightly last night.

Pesky EVs....looks like sales did not collapse

https://cnevpost.com/2024/09/11/china-nev-retail-214000-in-sept-1-8-2024/

China NEV retail at 214,000 in Sept 1-8, up 11% from same period last month

China's NEV retail penetration was 55.15 percent in the September 1-8 period, and 44.92 percent year-to-date.

55 percent now

was 53 in August......

by the end of the year 65%

and the end of 2025.....85%  then the exporting on a massive scale takes place

Oil is doomed no more growth....$100 oil ??????not in 2025 or 2026

The Chinese data are wild and getting wilder...looks like about 96% of the Chinese transportation sector is still fossil fuel.

Sorry, buddy.

Pesky EVs ruining your clunker parade????

Dec 21, 2023  Rapid uptake of battery-powered vehicles means China may already have reached peak oil demand, years earlier than anyone expected.

PS this is what a transition looks like....When is the last time you bought a roll of film?????  looks like a tech transition takes around 15 to 20 years

How much longer can photographic film hold on?

Film cameras are only the marginal end of anything.

That all you can come up with?

It is more like just a total vehicle sales collapse now. Stellantis is closing out Dodge, Chrysler, Ram Trucks, and Jeep. Many thousands of unsold Jeeps are owned by dealers that are now 2003, 2004, and 2005 models. Dealers are being left to fail without help from Stellantis. Ford, Chevy, and all the others are suffering from lack of sales. This is due to jacking up prices to unaffordable prices.

Film cameras are only the marginal end of anything.?????

yet they were the answer for recording images for 150 years and no one thought it would become obsolete

same as the horse drawn carriages

or the coal fired locomotive

or the incandescent light bulb

or the landline telephone

or floppy disks

or VCRs

or Video disks

or phone books

or vacuum tubes

now lets talk about electricity in homes, Rome was not built overnight....looks like it took 50 years for Electricity  to reach/homes retrofitted with wiring in every household in the US  ....now you tell me how many new homes were built after 1900 without electricity........

Next up your clunker.......your clunkers only have a life span of around 15 years ......

Enjoy the transition.........will anyone sell a car in 2030 that does not have the ability to plug it in???

This is concomitant with the collapse of EV sales, so it is not anything related to a transition or technological change...just the downside of the economy-wide business cycle.

Sorry old man, you are really glued to the EV mantra again.

Take a brief look at reality for once (just for once) and see what is happening to your precious EV markets in the free world.

EV sales are DOWN big-time and this has caused the decline in EV sales prices.

EVs are now in full retreat, no surprise, just as predicted here.

https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/European-Carmakers-Call-for-Urgent-Action-as-EV-Sales-Crash.html

"Battery electric vehicle (BEV) registrations in the European Union tumbled by 44% in August from a year earlier as all new car sales slumped by 18%, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, ACEA, said on Thursday,..."

"The total market share of BEVs dipped to 14.4% from 21% a year earlier.

“This was driven by the spectacular drop in the two biggest markets for BEV cars: Germany (-68.8%) and France (-33.1%),” ACEA said today...."

"With lower EV sales than expected, major carmakers in the U.S. and Europe are scaling back production of electric vehicles amid overcapacity and are rethinking their ambitious EV sales goals."

Sorry to puncture your dreams again, old boy.

You have numerous posts about an economic downturn.  Do you see the biases in your opinions?

If the price of oil or the number of ICE vehicles sold goes down you attribute it to a temporary blip in the economy.

If the price of EVs or number sold goes down you attribute it to the outright death of an industry.

Try logic

No, sorry, both EV sales and ICE sales are down together, which indicates that this is not just a realignment of the market but a total market decline, indicative of a general economic recession.

However, EV sales have been hammered much more severely than ICEs, so that shows how the EV experiment was dependent upon temporary government supports, which have now come off.

The EV experiment was fun, but brief.

LOL.  Just watch, EVs will continue to be sold.

Tell me when (an actual date) when a major vehicle manufacturer will completely swear off making new EVs.

No, Ford scaling back one plant does not count.  Show me when Ford says they won't make any EVs.
