With the new system, they need an accountant to adjust the end sum to zero in all ways possible, yes?

Why do they need lawyers in every department?

Somewhere in that text diarrhea you recognized that the government hires more than servants for the bureaucrats.

Amidst the diarrheatic text, it is amazing you can identify something said.......

But, possibly incorrectly...

Servants = people paid to serve the employer and/ or the public

The bureaucrates behave as if they are superior crowd working for the government. They forget, they are paid to serve, not just as a YES man to instruction, but also serving the public. So......

They make things inefficient and tell you it is standard operating procedure;

they are competing among each other who is performing worse, making many mistakes and not getting caught.

Young professional nowadays no longer having what it used to take to be respected.

In a Korean drama, it showed a self educated housewife mother of a newborn, was more knowledgeable than doctors who are educated, trained to specialized, worked in a sum of at least 10 years, 15 or more during her baby discomfort......

It is no longer a secret, experts and professional refer mainly to pioneers, retirees and those near retiring ages.

Why do they need so many " not servants", by your claim, who can not do the basic, in the government?

I agree, it is amazing you got any point across.

Do you think Korean dramas reflect real life?  Yeah, those housewives are so much smarter than actual doctors.  Do not believe what you watch on tv especially when they tell you it is fiction.  The woman in the show probably uses ancient eastern medicine.

"The ginger removes excess dampness, bear bile improves vitality, the ground Rhinoceros horn centres your Chi." LOL

You obviously have not worked for the government.  The vast majority of employees just do everyday tasks like any other company.  Furthermore, many employees do not like their job after a while, they only stay in a job they hate is because the pension plan is good; it is called "the golden handcuffs." Some employees snap and "go postal."

Yes, the government can be less efficient because we spend taxpayers money.  A manager of a private company can spend money without much oversight.  In the government there are several checks and balances to help prevent fraud.

Let's say company XYZ needs truck.  A manager would just go to the dealer of their choice, buy a truck, send the invoice to accounting.  Done.

In the public sector you ask for a truck on the capital plan, if that gets approved you draw up a list of required specifications (e.g. the truck must have 4 wheel drive).  Once the specifications are known a Request for Proposal is posted.   Various companies (Ford, GM, Toyota etc.) will put in an offer showing how their truck meets the specifications.  We then have to review the offers and asses if they do, in fact, meet specifications.  All successful vendors then tell the price of the product and a contract is awarded.  The manager now gets the truck (about 6 - 12 months later) but who knows what brand it will be.

It is slow but it prevents fraud.  If we didn't do it that way the managers could favourably give contracts to their family / friends and get kickbacks.  Imagine if they needed 100 trucks - that would be a sweet contract for the salesman to score.

Thank you for noticing the point crossed. You have good eyes.

Mostly, script writers and book authors would get their ideas from:

a) adapting historical stories

b) experience in real life, whether it is personal experience or experience of others

c) sometimes, there could be inspiration and amazing help  experience of connectivity... especially sci-fi.

Therefore, when it says "fiction", it is not all unreal. By claiming "It is a fiction. Any similarity is sere coincidence", it could avoid possible unwanted lawsuits where sensitive souls would claim violation of privacy or such.

You hit the point and not realizing it..... " The government is not efficient because those servants hate their jobs"...

This world works in a mode of " copyright" i.e. " the right to copy" . For a small company, the decision made befallen on one person, i.e. the owner of the company. For a big company, there usually are several persons needed to be informed. Therefore, they need transparency in their dealings. Getting quotation to get best prices with quality that meets the need, submission for approval and getting things ordered, are common procedure.

Government setting copies big company operandi mode. Despite so, descrepancy gradually happens.

Monopoly could happen when nepotism is in place.

Corruption occurs when favouritism takes place.

A fast process becomes slow, slower and stagnant, as officers are fighting for their "freebies", or " recurrent/ one off side passive incomes", not just one person in charged, but through layers of officers in pyramidal hierarchy ...

Check and balance used to be happening in the parliament before any big spending was granted. People of opposing opinion were free to voice their opinion before final decision was made. But these common sense and ability are gone.

Uniformity is what sought after. Obedience/ bow low is what taught.

My daddy mentioned a cartoon depicting the situation when i was much younger. In the cartoon, those representatives went to the parliament in a standard mode, i.e. left hand holding a 🥥 coconut ( pronounce 'yah'); right hand holding a glass bottle 🍾 ( pronounce ' botui').

When asked about opinion, they would just lift either hand and chant " yah, yah, botui, botui". It means, ' yes, yes, correct, correct'...

Modern Democracy is no longer a system represents how Rome had started it.

Back then, the community was small. Every person above 16 or 18, would take part in the decision making of the community.

Now, many, if not most, might not know whom they are selecting. How would those elected be caring for them and fighting for what they need if the representatives never know how the voters live and what they need?? In addition, they might not want to go against the rich in power by saying or doing something differently. Uniformity is what sought. Obedience is what taught.

We are in ridiculous time....

May the righteous sense be awaken and justice returned...

Daddy told you about a cartoon.  How sweet.

Democracy did not start in Rome, it started in Greece.

Modern Democracy was started primarily by the French.  You should notice the US Statue of Liberty points toward France.

Nothing modern can be the same as it was started, if it was the same it would not be modern. Think.

Daddy had been very  knowledgeable in many ways. I'm grateful to have had him as daddy. Great personality and traits to be inherited from...

** Ahemnn ** ( tactic of praise one other person and begotten sprinkler of good vibe onto oneself..) 😳😊

It had been my primary aim to go out and have a look, work a few years to raise my status of salary and go home to let both parents live good life. However, Inhumane, shameless, despicable decisions/ choices made by others have affected how he could have enjoyed life upon and after my graduation. Still waiting for rescue promised to change my ruined fate and imposed hard life ...

It has been disheartening and unbelievable how indifferent, ignorant, cruel, unfair etc 99.9% of us can be...

Thank you for pointing that out. Confused by the duo...

'o' statue of liberty has one hand on a torch; another on the side with a stack of paper or something. That stack of paper points toward France?! 'o' 'O'

How devine the degree of set up might have been... '-'

Baltimore bridge is just a small card that will be played this week .... as part of Ukraine Israel Taiwan funding

LNG card is a key card for Johnson....yep time that card gets redeemed

motion to vacate will move forward if Ukraine funding is advanced to a vote....and the advancing will happen with the add in of LNG. Bridge will be a consolation price.

Only question is will LNG plant in LA be pushed through as an add in...I think yes....You have the Oil and Gas Lobby running full speed on it as if this one LNG plant is moved forward any other project in the weeds will get the same pathway forward.......

Johnson will sell out anyone in his own party  as you can bet he will resign in 2025 (if not sooner) and get himself one fat consulting contract to work as the head of PR for the plant in LA once the LNG plant is given special legislative action in Congress. LA is his home district and everyone loves a hometown hero.......

Baltimore bridge funding will be added into the supplemental .......LNG plant added....Ukraine funded...

only question will Johnson (if he cares ) retain his position..... Deals will be made with the devil this week

Diablo always wins

this week will be an interesting one....

who will win????? well everyone except the loonies

Speaker Johnson's position is at high risk from some real hardliner "MAGA CLOWNS" in the House, due to his "doing the right thing" (his own words).  Musical chairs seems to fit the situation. The Dems in the House will do the right thing.

I wonder who is "in line" for the position?

Perhaps, MTG??

(retch)

Eventually, #45's influence in Congress is gonna backfire.

It would be no surprise to me if neither "candidate" comes out of the conventions.

todays' votes will devastate Russias' oil and gas business even more........Russia policy just got hit hard. Russia's failed attempt to use Nat Gas as a weapon in its war has failed miserably. The useful idiots helping Putin were just put into a dark corner.....Russia's effort, including their playing nat gas shutoffs,  to tear apart NATO and US foreign policy just got wiped out.  Russia's Middle East oil exporting partners including Iran and Saudis sidelined. OPEC??? toothless. Oil and Nat Gas markets no longer have to wonder what will happen with Russian oil infrastructure. Expect the attacks on Russian refineries to increase immediately and it will devastate Russias economy....

Motion to vacate.......lets see if the Useful idiots think they are in the winners seat.

Speaker Johnson won the big game. He looks like a hero by doing the right thing against the far right wing of my party. They have been spouting too many Russian talking points to deserve the power they seek. I say that although I agree with them on most of their other views. I have encouraged Mike Johnson and donated to him. I now see him as the second most important leader in the Republican party after Trump. I am glad that a majority of Democrats supported the bill he wrote and that a near majority of Republicans did also.

Conflating the terrible immigration abuses of the Biden administration with our duties on the worldwide stage was never going to work. Repeating Russian propaganda only makes the super maga bunch look like they are useful idiots on the Ukraine issue.

Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan deserve our support. Any sign of weakness by the West would result in a far worse global situation. Russia and China are in major economic slumps right now. We must use that to influence their future actions toward more cooperative and peaceful behavior. Putin and Xi have put both of their nations on paths that are very aggressive. Both are dictators for life despite their pretensions.

Read that to yourself.  Notice the party that aligned with your viewpoint was the democrats.  If that bill was left to the republicans alone it would have failed (a "near majority" means more voted against).

He flipped flopped on his own position and lost over half of his GOP support dealing with  Ukraine (it was the right thing to do....but he is now toothless)

To keep his job he will have to make a new deal with his opposition.....which I do not see happening ......something says he will be unable for him to repair his own conference........

Who will take over??????

at the same time the GOP is in chaos because of it............ The house is looking like it will switch back to the Democrats ....unless abortion laws are fixed

He is unable to bring to the table the Immigration bill as passed by the Senate a few months ago...He should make it happen and then he can be considered winning one of the big prizes..... Good Luck

GOP needs to do some soul searching on Budgets, Energy policy, Abortion and Immigration and on who is in charge of their conference

The Green agenda...The GOP is not winning anyone over with its position. The GOP taking a stance that climate change is not real is a losing strategy

So, If the USA does the "drill, baby, drill" thing, how will that effect consumers??

Doesn't it just make it more profitable for the entire petroleum industry, while the world market determines consumer impact??
