Trump's current "floating the idea" that his verbal claims that he won are protected free speech. Speaking the truth about election results is not a free speech issue -- of course, you can speak all you wish, and not suffer consequences from the Government. Unless you step across certain "non-protected speech" lines. Or you slander a party, which can be used against you in a Court of Law. The only reason to call for a free speech defense of Trump's assertion of election fraud is if it weren't true. (MAGA followers retreat to the garage to smoke). You can't openly break constitutional rules just because you are mad someone else possibly broke the rules. The "good guys" have to follow the letter of the law.
