Ron Wagner + 714 March 30, 2023 I don't know your source, but the IRS has ruined its credibility by going after Republicans for political reasons. That is basically true of all federal agencies because of federal employee unions since the JFK administration made them legal. The D.O.J. is a prime example also. turbguy + 1,553 March 30, 2023 (edited) The true story of American history is the story of periodic convulsions of failure, and breakdown, followed by long periods of readjustment and renewal. Patriotism, a forgotten value? There is some of the resentful, rotten patriotism that I observe at MAGA rallies. There is also a more mature kind of patriotism, the love I have for my country when I know its flaws. It is a "curious" kind of patriotism, one that wants to understand the full complexities of America, that wants to read David McCullough, John Hope Franklin and Doris Kearns Goodwin. (and also watch those Ken Burns documentaries). The Dream Goes On.mp3 Edited March 31, 2023 by turbguy

The offerings of many churches are actually not very good compared to what is available on television and online. Attending church is only one part of being a Christian. We attend and use online sources plus books.

I leave it with you WASHINGTON—House Committee on Oversight and Reform Ranking Member James Comer (R-Ky.) today wrote the Biden Administration and several banks and financial institutions about Hunter Biden and Biden family and associates’ suspicious foreign business transactions flagged by U.S. banks. According to recent media reports, more than 150 of Hunter Biden and the Biden network’s international business transactions have generated suspicious activity reports by U.S. banks for further review by the Treasury Department to determine if there is illegal activity or a threat to national security. The Treasury Department used to provide these reports to Congress, but the Biden Administration has restricted access to them, raising questions about a possible effort to hide the Biden network’s suspicious business dealings. https://oversight.house.gov/release/comer-probes-hunter-bidens-suspicious-foreign-business-transactions-flagged-by-u-s-banks/ What lies in our future Incredibly suspicious’ Hunter Biden email may be based on classified info: GOP senator https://nypost.com/2023/01/25/suspicious-hunter-biden-email-may-be-based-on-classified-info-gop-senator/ Edited April 4, 2023 by Eyes Wide Open

Rob Plant + 2,756 RP April 5, 2023 One of the questions I asked in the initial start of this topic was this " Do you guys feel there is ever going to be a more accepting middle ground between the 2 parties or even the potential politically for a new party to take that middle ground and become a force in years to come?" Nobody has commented on whether this is feasable, likely or downright crazy. Maybe the 2 main parties are just too big, too rich and too powerful for a middle ground party to gain any meaningful traction? Would love some of your thoughts on this. Do you guys feel there is ever going to be a more accepting middle ground between the 2 parties or even the potential politically for a new party to take that middle ground and become a force in years to come?" the simple answer is no a third party will not happen and an accepting middle ground will only be achieved when Trump exits politics. Trump was never interested in middle ground solutions. The GOP has strayed so far from its principles with Trump that they will lose many elections Last night in Wisconsin was a whopper The GOP candidate for the supreme court was a far right wing nut job ....A Trumper...so far right that he lost by over 10 percentage points Wisconsin was evenly split for many years Roe vs Wade undid it and the root cause is Trump Wisconsin will now shift to the left ......until Trump is gone The GOP in Wisconsin now faces the reality that putting forward the Trump field will lose them election after election after election..... When the GOP figures how to rid themselves of Trump they will be able to win elections again 2024 is a lost cause for the GOP The party of Trump is not winning anything These days no one that voted for Trump will actually admit it Edited April 5, 2023 by notsonice

No third party. What normally occurs is the two parties slightly shift policy towards the centre in order to swing votes to their side. When the leading party starts pushing too far left or right they lose voters so they soften their stance. What we have currently is abnormal and approaching a civil war. From history we know how that goes for the loser red states. Edited April 6, 2023 by TailingsPond
