Just so you know those machine are very popular and profitable in places like Las Vegas.  Trump, however, managed to lose a lot of money owning those machines (Atlantic city failures).  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trump_Plaza_Hotel_and_Casino

His casino got so bad he demanded his name be removed from the building.

"In early August 2014, Donald Trump filed a lawsuit requesting his name be removed from the facility, because it had fallen into disrepair, in violation of the licensing agreement for his name."

It's merely a world view, how Robert Plant personally identifies is of your own accord. Your islands are not connected to the European  continent...With that being said have a read..keep in mind the world is truly a very large place...full of highly different cultures. The British Isles exemplifies such diversity of opinions.

You certainly do not believe the EU has claimed sovereignty of your Isles?

British Isles

As a term, "British Isles" is a geographical name and not a political unit. In Ireland, the term is controversial,[8][18] and there are objections to its usage.[19] The Government of Ireland does not officially recognise the term,[20] and its embassy in London discourages its use.[21] "Britain and Ireland" is used as an alternative description,[19][22][23] and "Atlantic Archipelago" has also seen limited use in academia.[24][25][26][27] In official documents created jointly by Ireland and the United Kingdom, such as the Good Friday Agreement, the term "these islands" is used.[28][29]

Good God man its not my personal view!

Its a fact the UK is in Europe, its also a fact we are no longer in the EU which is something entirely different, how can you not understand this?

Hahah

They primarily identify with their nationality, but their nation is part of Europe!

I'm certain the majority of the USA citizens would identify themselves first as American (the country) over a member of North America; that does not mean that they do not understand the fact that the USA is part of North America.

Bwahahaha yes it does and the UK is part of Europe you buffoon as the very map you post tells you! However Eurasia is not a continent, due to historical changes in borders due to trade routes the term Eurasia was born but are 2 distinct continents.

Do you now accept that the UK is part of Europe???

If not, well there's no hope for you

Do you also understand that politically the UK is no longer part of the EU?? just like Switzerland, Norway, Lichtenstein, Iceland etc. arent, can you now distinguish between the difference between being in Europe and being in the EU?

and yet the common language across Europe is .........

English...which just happens to originate out of the well .....England/UK

and you think England is not part of Europe????????

looks like all of Europe is on board with England dominating them...might as well get rid of the borders............as most of the countries in Europe are united in language

what better way to tie a Continent together than with Language

even in Russia over 50 percent of the population speaks English or should we say the Kings Tongue ....... ha ha ha...Russians might as well bow down to the King...........

can we say that England ties all of Europe ...the continent together....I think so

notice in the list below....the UK is included as a European Country and not Morocco or Iran.......Hmmm I wonder why???

Democracy Under Attack in the United Kingdom

The “Public Order Bill” has courted immense controversy within the U.K. and beyond since being introduced in May of last year. The legislation was derived primarily from portions of the 2022 Police, Crime, Sentencing, and Courts Act that were likewise rejected by the Lords last year. Government officials have sold the bill as a necessary step to expand the power of police in the midst of increasingly frequent protests, particularly by environmental groups, seen to be detrimental to public order and safety. Activists from groups such as Just Stop Oil UK, Insulate Britain, and Extinction Rebellion participated in highly-publicized protests over the past couple of years and adopted extreme strategies such as gluing themselves to highways, chaining themselves to buildings, and digging tunnels to block infrastructure projects. Under then-Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the Tory government first introduced the bill to further criminalize these acts and hand more power to police to prevent protestors from engaging in such acts in the first place—though the Police, Crime, Sentencing, and Courts Act had already accomplished some of this.

"Social security" but "no socialism what so ever." It's like you can't even understand your own posts.

People contribute unevenly and withdraw unevenly, it is an clear example of socialism.  How can you even argue against that, it has "social" right in the bloody name.

The Boomer generation has paid for it's SS and Medicare????? only way to keep those 2 suckers solvent is keeping everyone working till they are 70.............changes to the retirement age already happened in 1983 from 65 to 67 and will happen again in the next 5 years.....Boomers and their parents did not pay in enough........or is it time to cut benefits.......IE limit medicare payments??? oh that will not happen...or raise income tax rates???? or  borrow more money...or the easiest raise the retirement age. Pick your poison

2034 is fast approaching and the boomers bankrupt the funds

image.jpeg.8d1b75623219ec2e9ccba13e3fc36c8e.jpeg

time for some more redistribution (just another word for socialism) of your wealth

SS is not like a bank account....you can pay in your entire life and bite the dust at 66 years old and you estate gets nada

Medicare the same way......

Income taxes ............pays for all those foodstamps, senior citizen rent subsidized housing, low income rent subsidized housing, Medicaid, public transport systems,  free education, farm subsidies,  etc etc etc you love so much.....

redistribution of wealth.....now that is what socialism is all about.......

you just do not want to admit that socialism is the rule in the US and your beloved GOP embraces it all the time

2024 budget??? no shutdown.....GOP realizes that their own party members are more likely to use socialized assistance than the Dems

Enjoy living with in the USA....socialized to the bone....

It was a socialist (Labour government) that brought about the National Health Service, free health care to one and all.

Might sound unfair as those that are healthy use it less but in reality it is an amazing institution that no UK citizen would be without, socilaist, Conservative or whichever party.

Enough of European democratic socialism..for now that is...The US in now dealing with their own..

Lead prosecutor in Georgia election subversion case under scrutiny over alleged affair with DA https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/12/politics/nathan-wade-fani-willis-da-georgia-election-subversion-case/index.html

Ya Dont Say...

An undisclosed contact with White House

The allegations against Willis and Wade came in a 127-page court filing this week from Michael Roman, a former Trump 2020 campaign official who was indicted over his role in the fake electors plot in Georgia.

Trump’s team is actively considering whether to join Roman’s motion, a move that would represent a formal endorsement of its allegations about both Wade and Willis, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

But there is no sign Trump is in a rush – he can amplify these allegations publicly with little legal risk while waiting to see how the DA’s team responds, the sources said. A Cobb County court has a hearing scheduled January 31 to address Roman’s motion to unseal documents in Wade’s divorce case.
