Octogenarians are not good rulers, especially in US political systems that expects so much daily work from US President. Xi Jinping has the comfort of major politics rules to establish he is not answering to anyone. He is not Prime Minister as US President is. And as others, including notsonice, have pointed out, Trump's recent mistakes suggest that even if Biden's cognitive decline is true, Trump's mental acuity may be equally lacking.
