Fake Chinese EV sales?

China is often reported as the poster child for EV sales and, like everyone else, I took the reporting at face value. Not so says this item from youtube .

China is Throwing Away Fields of Electric Cars - Letting them Rot!

The video presenter does not given any overall view of the situation, such as estimate of how many EVs have been dumped, as opposed to the number sold to actual customers (that figure may be very difficult to come by), but he says that almost all climate initiatives in China are basically a scam - about the developers turning/stealing a buck as opposed to them having any interest in the environment at all.  The cars have been dumped and the sales claimed so that the producers can claim government subsidies which, it seems,. are more valuable than the sales. Anyway, its worth checking out the video.
