Was thinking about this a while back...with flaring reaching a critical level due to pipeline constraints/etc, why not take the extra gas and use it to mine cryptos? 

Too much of a regulatory hassle? Not profitable enough? I mean millions of $$ are literally being burned everyday - why not turn it into something? Even if it is just a digital currency
