1 Million U.S. Jobs!

So, I suppose everyone saw the news from Ali Baba's Jack Ma that he won't be able to bring 1 million news jobs to the U.S. after all.  And the reason is, or at least the reason the media reported, the U.S./China trade war.

Question 1:  Was it ever possible and did anyone ever believe that Ali Baba was going to bring 1 million jobs to the U.S.?  Were they even capable of bringing 100,000 jobs?  We are talking about online shopping and fulfillment centers (we used to call these warehouses and distributors), so my belief is that it was never going to happen in any significant way.

Question 2:  Does anyone see any company, or even industry for that matter, that will be bringing @ 1 million new jobs to/back to the U.S.?

Question 3:  Where do those government job/jobless numbers come from?  Are they really just statistics based on theories?  Or where do they get their numbers?

The Gov jobs numbers come from Labor Dept stats. and yes some times as we have seen in the past certain administrations have fudged the data to make them look better... hmmm millions of shovel ready jobs?

Jack Ma would like everyone to believe that he was going to bring 1 mil jobs to the US.

He wasnt going to create a million jobs himself , what he wanted to do was for US small bizz and farmers etc to sell their products and goods via the Ali Baba platform to China and other PacRim and FEA countries.

Besides he made that pledge over 1.5 years ago and what did he achieve within that time frame, even as he claims that the tariffs and trade war failed him in his pledge. What did he do before the trader war and tariffs came into play? what was the achievement pre trade war and tariffs for those 1 mil jobs?

As far as any industry alone bringing or creating 1 mil jobs, very feasible, probable and possible in the healthcare industry and related industries-biomed/pharma, r&d; also energy industry as a whole could; tech industry
