India, USA & Mexico's Plan To Checkmate China much better for the US to have goods made in Mexico than China. Head south of the border some day to any of the northern Mexican states.........It looks a lot more like the US now....US big box retailers everywhere .........fast food.......auto dealerships no different...great public schools in the North on par with those in the US.....and American owned factories are the backbone of employment. Northern Mexico has definitely become Americanized in all aspects including language.......The border has really moved a few hundred miles south........ Most of the Mexicans (Northern Mexicans) I worked with South of the border have lived in the US (both legally and illegally) They returned to Mexico as they have the same standard of living on both sides of the border.Imports from China ....on a path of collapse as the border shifts farther and farther south lots of opportunity to reshore industry from China to Mexico have to love this tidbit Because of the American influence in the region, northern Mexican people also celebrate some American traditions like Halloween, Thanksgiving and Saint Patrick's Day....yeah you got that Thanksgiving Southern Mexico??? Marcin2 + 726 MK February 10 (edited) Well, and anybody noticed the recent growth of China exports to Vietnam, India and Mexico. These countries are doing simple assembly to avert US tariffs but 90% of value added is still Chinese and Vietnam based assembly plants are Chinese. Vietnam is 10% of Chinese value of exports but only 1.24% of Chinese value addded. Edited February 10 by Marcin2
