Petar + 76 PP December 30, 2017 We are expecting the growth of EVs and that growth is cutting into gas tax revenues. Prompted Wisconsin's legislature to tax EVs like Tesla and some hybrid cars places a $75 surcharge on hybrids with a battery capacity of at least 4 KW, so more hybrids will not be subject to $75 surcharge. Adam Varga + 123 AV January 4, 2018 If I got it right, they want to tax electric and hybrid cars? Yes, that will surely encourage people to drive these cars if they are going to tax it.
Selva + 252 SP January 4, 2018 This is ironical. When these cars showed up for the first time in the market, they were offering incentives to get people to buy them.
Vlad Kovalenko + 115 VK January 4, 2018 Obviously the owners of hybrid cars will be in better position than the owners of electric cars because most hybrids will be exempt while fully EVs will have to pay a $100 surcharge on their yearly registration fee.
