Marina Schwarz + 1,576 January 2, 2018 Big Oil is still reluctant to venture into the Arctic, even if it's Norway's Arctic. besides Eni and its Goliath project, apparently only Shell is interested in exploring for oil in the Barents Sea. It's a problem for Norway because Statoil is already spending a lot on new drilling and will hardly be able to make up for field depletion on its own. However, it seems that PE-backed independents are stepping in. These PE-backed independents look pretty hungry for North Sea fields.
