Mr. Hawtin, it is quite apparent that you were not "pulling his leg," and in any event this is intended to be a forum for serious discussion, not "leg-pulling," irrespective of how you are choosing to couch it.  I think it is high time to refrain from further negative castigations of other writers on this forum.  You do seem to have a propensity for doing that.  Otherwise I predict the Moderators are going to step in and shut down your membership, and that would be a shame.  Time to move on.

My wife was British.  Her father was a Rear Admiral.  He had real humor.  So did she.  Real British humor has this certain self-deprecatory wryness about it.  In all candor, I don't see that in you.  This discussion now ends.

I live here... I prefer deserts.  If you stand perfectly still in the sun your frozen jeans provide a decent windbreak...

Here's another fun fact... at -40 the liquid crystal display (LCD) in your car stereo completely freezes and you can't read the time or track.  It still works but it's not good for your speakers if you play it too loud as they are inflexible.

This thread has caught my attention. 

I have no issue with good-natured joking around and teasing on the forum.  Especially between long-time and prolific posters, where general character traits are already known.  For example, I discovered that my amusement of Flat Earth trolls is shared by another frequent poster here, and I've posted some clearly absurd Flat Earth infograpics just for amusement.

Personal attacks are a different story, though. Quite simply, just don't do it.

The discussion now ends, does that mean you realise that coal is a dead end? Having worked with two Ex Admirals of the Fleet, I'd say only 50% have humour. Although the one without did course lots of laughing, you should have seen the faces of his minions, I felt sorry for him.

To tell you the truth not personally. In fact most of the AI's I have come across have been on youtube (commenting), they were rather basic and obviously had a strong biasness to the Russian language. Did a course through the Moscow University, it was interesting but the thing that I mostly picked up was how Russians often use English.
