New method makes hydrogen from solar power and agricultural waste

The best performer, cow dung, decreased the electrical requirement sixfold to roughly a fifth of a volt.

The energy requirements were low enough that the researchers could power the reaction with one standard silicon solar cell generating roughly 15 milliamps of current at 0.5 volt. That’s less than the amount of power produced by an AA battery.

I love these B__ __it articles.

Pretending the sulpheric acid, and biochar, let alone the creation of said biochar or the transportation of said "ag so called waste" is ~free

Then make baloney claims about "efficiency" 😁 without mentioning what is inputted and outputted!

Give you a hint: If a farmer collects said "free AG waste" they are going to turn it into so called "free" fertilizer obtaining 100% use instead of 35%.  Water bath for the Nitrogen, compost for the biology to spray on their seeds and fields, and the rest to use as compost teas to fight bacteria/fungus blights, and the rest to feed the bacteria/microryzal fungi.

I don't think this technology will ever be used, but there are places where you could get ag waste for free.

I agree farmers would not collect crap for you.  However, a feedlot fattening up cows before slaughter produces a lot of waste in a very small space which becomes a problem to deal with.

Great, now we just need Trillions of dollars invested in Hydrogen infrastructure to make Hydrogen vehicles accessible to everyday Americans. Large, slow vehicles with minimal cargo space seem to be Americans' preference.

Apparently you missed the speed of electric cars driven by Americans. Freedom of the road at unsafe speeds is the lifeblood of the dream car market. Add the power to pull a camper trailer. 😎
