Tramslation :  stop pressuring us over the Nord Stream 2 pipeline and we will buy you some LNG.

It's good to have some competition on the market and LNG terminals could be helpful to convince the Russians they should not rise gas prices. But LNG will never replace the Russian gas and I believe most of the LNG terminals could end up as costly stranded assets pushed out of the market by the falling prices of renewables.

That would depend on how fast and how much more renewables prices fall, though. I still see a great future for natural gas, regardless of origin, for decades to come.

It's hard for LNG to compete with piped natural gas. But it's a hell of a security hedge.
