One of our vehicles is a Honda Civic. We have had it for a few years now, and it has well over 100,000 miles. Do you know how much money we have spent in maintenance on this vehicle? Nothing other than oil changes.

Hi Rodent,

I imagine you have put some fuel in the car, yes?

At present oil prices, the EV does not pay for itself, though keep in mind that the Model 3 is a much nicer car than a Civic (I have both).  My wife has always wanted a really nice car (Mercedes or BMW), I have always wanted an EV, this was the compromise, but it's her car, though she let's me use it on weekends if I behave.  :)

The less expensive version of the Model 3 (about 35k with 250 miles of range) will be available in 2019Q3.

At present the cheapest model (before rebates) is 46k.  Prices will no doubt fall in the future.
