Amazing stuff. I was sufficiently intrigued to look up ARPA-E and the program it runs. It's all about funding early stage projects. Well, good luck to them. Wouldn't hold your breath waiting for the projects to become commercial but it would be interesting if any of them do. In the mean time the institutions have got funding to tide them over...
