BlackTortoise + 103 CM November 20, 2018 Another lawsuit opening a new chapter in climate change litigation. This time commercial fishermen in California and Oregon sued dozens of oil and gas companies for hurting the fishing market in the Pacific Ocean by raising temperatures on Earth. The Pacific Coast Federation of Fishermen’s Associations is seeking financial compensation for its losses from 30 companies, including oil and gas supermajors, according to the suit filed in a California state court. Adam Varga + 123 AV November 20, 2018 Can't wait to see how they are going to prove the culpability of the oil companies, not to mention how will they handle that. Even assuming everything we believe about climate change is true, oil companies are not the only one responsible.

Brian W + 78 BW November 20, 2018 How interesting. The recent research paper that was responsible for causing this latest ocean temperature panic, has been discredited, by its own authors. https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/environment/sd-me-climate-study-error-20181113-story.html

The International Maritime Organization is requiring escalating energy efficiency requirements for large vessels. A new global requirement for low-sulfur (0.5% maximum) fuels for global shipping comes into effect on January 1, 2020. Many newly built ships are propelled by LNG. Ken Meyercord + 10 November 20, 2018 The fishermen might be discouraged to learn a recent study correlating rising ocean temperatures to global warming, which received widespread publicity in the media as is the norm for such stuff, proved to be deeply flawed, despite being peer reviewed and published in the prestigious magazine, Nature. SERWIN + 749 SE November 20, 2018 13 hours ago, Stormysaga said: Ironically, they use gas for the boats, right? They use diesel, not gas. Even worse than gas. And I would venture to guess none of them have any emissions systems on their boats. We need to find out who the judge is that even allowed the lawsuit to start and get him out of office. The oil companies are minutely responsible, but the end users are the ones driving the so called "climate change". What's next, sue any place that has an erupting volcano? They really need to do something about those pollutant spewing earth chimneys.....maybe some sort of scrubber system to remove the pollutants? We can point that finger any which way we like, you know?
