Vlad Kovalenko + 115 VK December 24, 2018 Elon Musk said Tesla will reimburse customers if delays to car deliveries cause them to miss out on a significant tax credit. With only a few days of 2018 remaining, some customers still waiting for their vehicles have used social media to complain about the delays and what they called a lack of communication by the company. D Coyne + 305 DC December 24, 2018 Tesla is trying it's best to get as many cars to customers as quickly as possible. The logistics is a major challenge. Tesla will reimburse for any tax credits missed for those who were promised their cars would be delivered by Dec 31, 2018, After Jan 1 the tax credit is cut from 7500 to 3750, so the customer who gets their car after Dec 31 (assuming they are not the reason for the delay, rather than Tesla) will get a 3750 break on the price to make good on the promise of getting the full Federal tax rebate.
