FAANG stocks on losing streak

UBS' Art Cashin told CNBC that if the market wants to head into 2019 higher, it needs "unified and consistent" FAANG stocks. Those stocks lost a combined $1T in value in last month's rout but joined last week's rally.

some of the stocks like AAPL, GOOG and FB are quite reasonably valued while the others (AMZN, NFLX ) are vastly over valued.

FAANG is basically just a collection of the biggest cap tech stocks minus Microsoft, Applied Materials, and Intel. They have little to do with each other as well.

Amazon and Netflix will definitely do better this (2019) year. Netflix up because of new innovation.  Amazon up because it is unstoppable..

Never understood the fascination and adoration with FANG. These stocks are extremely expensive. It’s the same every cycle. 20 years ago it was MSFT, INTC, QCOM, CSCO, and DELL. Every bullish period of stock performance contains “FANGS”. They fall into the background and new ones emerge.

Reuters reported that Netflix is expected to announce in the next few days that it has poached media finance veteran Spencer Neumann from Activision Blizzard to be its CFO. Wonder how is he going to fit in
