Geely Motors, a massive Chinese owned and funded automotive conglomerate, intends on dominating the world. Li Shifu, the president, and CEO is one of only a few Chinese industry titans allowed extraordinary access to outside capital and investment. However, Li Shifu, like many other Chinese power brokers, may become one of the "disappeared" if he is not careful. It is rumored that Li's wife is a relative of president Xi, although that rumor has been challenged. In China, information is power, so few people disclose anything personal or in-depth about their lives. Chinese say that "Those who speak don't know, and those who know don't speak." 

In an article (Link below) about Daimler's (Germany's Mercedes) concerns over Chinese investment and the risk of technology transfer, the author illuminates the risks automakers take when accepting a Chinese partner. Communist governments may "allow" an individual to act on behalf of the state, however, that person is the property of the state, and should not forget their place.  

"...Mr. Li could still find himself at the whim of the Chinese government, even if his current ventures receive their blessing."

“For China’s top leadership the end game is still to find some way for state enterprises to dominate the industry,” he says. 

“Private companies are useful risk-takers and instigators and provocateurs. Li understands this — and he is willing to take the risks.”

Xi Jinping's Socialism with Chinese Characteristics is no surprise to anyone; he is consolidating power and writing himself into a dictatorial role. His intent is seen in the "Made in China 2025" campaign and leaves no doubt. The Belt and Road Initiative isn't confusing or bewildering. China is using socialism to steal the wealth of the gullible until it reaches sufficient power to go full communist. At that point, the Free World will no longer be able to challenge China's supremacy; at least that is China's goal. 

However, NO ONE WANTS TO LIVE UNDER TYRANNY.

And, as Marget Thatcher said,  "The trouble with Socialism is that eventually, you run out of other people's money."

Remember why America was founded, "Liberty, Freedom, Justice, Religious Freedom, Equality of Opportunity, Democracy, and Self-determination." 

Accountability starts with each person; don't ignore what is happening in the world today, at the expense of the billions of lives that will be lost if America fails. 

Communism will never rule the world because people will fight to the death to retain their freedom.

Think again Elon Musk about your Chinese Dream and Gigafactory 3; I don't think Elon can refrain from openly expressing himself, which is required in China.

Funny thing about soldiers. They fight to the death for their country, pretty much no matter what in the name of nationalism. Just look at Russian history.

And almost all are convinced they fight for the good guys, to some extent. One of the problems with USA soldiers in Southeast Asia, or the Middle East. The folks on the ground pretty much learn there we aren't there for the good guys. Me might be there for us, but not the altruistic good guys

Freedom, the USA construct, is a bit of an alien concept.

I have no real problems with the original post but I am puzzled over what it's doing in renewables. Should Tesla overcome its production and distribution problems for its Tesla 3 to become anything other than a wildly over-priced niche player in the car industry it already faces heaps of cheap competing models.. yet another from China doesn't make much difference.

True, this should be posted in Technology, Newbie error. Thanks for the comments. "Wildly overpriced" is the American socialist party theme, as long as someone else is paying this charade will continue.
