Coal Plants Worldwide Losing Money

Here in North Florida,  we have used two coal-powered plants since the 1980's.

The plants were built via a financial deal between two large Electric Companies.

In 2017,  the two companies decided to shut down,  and destroy both coal-powered plants as they were no longer cost-effective.

So,  in the summer of 2018,  the plants were destroyed,  and the two large cooling towers were imploded.

The land they occupied,  which is very expensive,  river-front property,  is currently in the redevelopment stage.
