The Europeans will in return supply babies food, nappies, medical supplies, buses, trains and cars to Venezuela & Mexico, and in the process the non-explosive Latin American IE's may decide to stay in Mexico or move to Venezuela; you see can keep an aggressive bear and a few million migrating birds from hunger at bay with some drilling trickery, though shipment will also work. Illurion + 894 IG February 13, 2019 (edited) It is far more in the interest of Europe to buy their Natural gas from the USA instead of Russia. The USA has the gas to sell due to recent advancements. The USA can probably even beat the price the Russians will charge. However, it will take some time to create the infrastructure of shipping tankers necessary to do the task. Ukraine has already shown that Russia is not to be trusted as regards the amounts of natural gas they deliver through their pipelines... Go ahead and use Nord Stream & Stream 2 for now. But if it was smart, Europe would hedge its bets and build alternative infrastructure to handle USA product too.. Doing so prevents Russia from blackmailing Europe, and creates competition between Russia and the USA that will keep the supply price low. As for all of your political propaganda, no comment. Really - any evidence to suggest that LNG can compete with conventional sourced piped gas. However, it will take some time to create the infrastructure of shipping tankers necessary to do the task. Even at the height of the cold war Russia did not use their gas as a weapon. The reason they cut supplies to Ukraine was Ukraine's failure to pay for the gas.
