Reminds me of "Back to the future. Just thirty years ago Shell owned the largest ESCO in the UK( Emstar) and the largest cavity wall insulation installer (Thermocomfort)

I thought European Union has a target of decreasing the GHG emissions by 80-95% (100% for the energy sector) by 2050. These shell targets will have to be revised for sure

I wonder what efforts these companies made to include the numerous national oil companies (NOCs) in this pact, for the NOCs produce most of the world's oil and gas.

Missing from this article (and oil company strategy) are baseline numbers for fugitive methane emissions, where they occur in production and transmission of gas, and what they mean when comparing gas to coal emissions.
