Henrik Fisker delays his "EMotion" luxury sports car and announces ‘mass-market’ electric SUV  to compete with Tesla's new model Y. The new car will start under $40,000 with ‘close to’ 300 miles of range.

The SUV is expected to launch during the second half of 2021 and be one of three mass-market vehicles created by the company. The vehicle is expected to have a battery pack with at least 80kWh of capacity and will be available in single or dual motor configurations.

Here we go again. Why do we need another announcement before he is ready to deliver a final product? He keeps announcing new cars without delivering previously announced one. It seems he is trying to destroy a little credibility he has left.

If he really thinks to compete with Tesla he will need much more than this. He will have to announce battery factory and supercharging infrastructure deals. Announcing a car with no substantial manufacturing structure plans is vaporware.

Fisker has made bold promises about the solid-state battery tech his company is developing. Solid state has been discussed many times, but from everything I’ve read, it is much further from being commercially ready than Fisker is stating. He is just spinning words around to keep his failing company afloat.

Well, he certainly knows his design, though. This is a work of beauty. But, as you all said...
